Demi Lovato’s people have, predictably, squashed rumors that the troubled 18-year-old has a secret sex tape awaiting release.
The Disney star — already in rehab for an emotional breakdown– is angered at reports that she filmed sex sessions that are currently being shopped to the highest-bidder. Lovato’s PR team denies that their girl joins Miley Cyrus and Vanessa Hudgens as the latest former Agent of the Mouse to find herself at the helm of a humiliating sex scandal. The sex tape rumors took flight after a cluster of saucy snaps of Demi baring her cleavage for a pack of giggling pals surfaced on Twitter last week.
“Perpetrating these completely unfounded rumors from supposed sources while Demi is in treatment dealing with serious physical and emotional issues is disgusting,” a spokesperson for the Sonny With a Chance actress bellowed in a statement over the weekend. “The sourcing on this report is so spotty that it is hard to fully respond.”
Demi’s publicist also rubbished reports that her uncle, Francisco Lovato, acted as a chaperone who would keep people away from her tour bus while she had sex.
“Francisco Lovato is the brother of Demi’s estranged father. He never travelled on the tour, and certainly didn’t serve as some sort of chaperone,” the spokesperson insisted.
