Highlights From Day 7 of Paris Fashion Week
It was boho meets military for Sacai’s spring 2015 collection. Creative director Chitose Abe marched out a collection of reinterpreted army and navy motifs, giving them a contemporary fashion flare. An olive green double-breasted blazer got chevrons on the sleeve, while an army dress was decorated with navy lace and ruffles. Billowy, floral print dresses dominated, as did pinstripes on a number of looks, like a long dress with a lace-up top. Abe’s ability to mix contradictions resulted in a beautiful, interesting and well-thought-out collection from the ever-compelling Japanese label. -- Ann Binlot

Highlights From Day 7 of Paris Fashion Week
Jewelry designer Delfina Delettrez's surrealist world is expanding. This season, she worked with platinum for the first time. At her presentation at a gallery in the Marais, the designer displayed her swirling diamond rings on robotic hands that were mounted on mirrored tables. Ever the show woman, Delettrez configured the contraptions as puppets so that guests could make the hands move themselves. "The game is becoming more serious, so I wanted it to have a playful side," she said. This collection was also the first time Delettrez designed an articulated -- i.e. moveable -- ring. "It's fluid and almost organic, in contrast to the robot and cyborg inspiration," she said. Indeed, there was nothing stiff about this new work. -- Lauren Sherman
