While pre-fall goods normally start trickling into stores in late spring and early summer, many designers still put an emphasis on the "fall" in the season's moniker, meaning that there are ample options for customers looking for transitional pieces or coats for when the weather turns chilly. So, it's not too surprising that we've come across a lot of stellar outerwear while previewing the latest collections over the last few weeks. From oversized, furry teddy bear coats to sporty parkas and minimal, smartly tailored trenches, it wasn't easy to narrow down our list of favorites — but we gave it a try.
