Kate Middleton Dons Animal Print, Puma Hit With $75 Million Lawsuit:

The Duchess of Cambridge made an appearance to meet foster care children in Islington on Friday. But what everyone actually noticed was the Hobbs brown shirt dress with embossed crocodile scales she wore during her visit. Thats about as close to animal print as we're likely to see her go. {Daily Mail}

Parigi Group Ltd., which has licensed Puma's kidswear for a decade, is suing Puma for more than $75 million for alleged breach of contract and defamation. According to the lawsuit, Puma disclosed trade secrets to United Legwear & Apparel Co., another childrenswear manufacturer, and disparaged Parigi amongst retailers, such as Bloomingdale's, Costco and Macy's. {Crain's New York Business}

In August, Fairchild Publishing was acquired by Jay Penske. Now, word has it that Women's Wear Daily may reducing its print frequency from daily to weekly. {New York Post}

Natalina Stercoli and Paola Properzi Curti have been appointed Collection Director and Commercial Director of the women's brand Agnona, respectively. Prior to their appointments, Natalina Stercoli worked as the Collection Director of Miu Miu and Paola Properzi Curti worked as Pucci's Commercial Director. Natalina will be working closely with Creative Director Stefano Pilati to develop Agnona's ready-to-wear collections and Paola will be overseeing the wholesale market, as well as development and management of stores. {Fashionista inbox}
