The industry lost a footwear legend in January when designer and entrepreneur Vince Camuto passed away from cancer at the age of 78. Now we know who will carry on his legacy.

The roles he held until his passing — CEO and chief creative officer of Camuto Group — have been split between two existing executives, including his widow, Louise.

A rep for the company confirmed Tuesday that Alex DelCielo, formerly the president and chief operating officer of Camuto Group, has been named CEO, while Louise Camuto, previously the company's creative director and president of marketing, has been promoted to chief creative officer. She'll continue to oversee marketing. These changes are effective immediately.

Both DelCielo and Louise Camuto were founding members of the Greenwich, Conn.-based company, which launched in 2001. Vince Camuto had ambitious plans for the company's growth, telling WWD in 2014 that he wanted to reach $2 billion in sales within five years. It sounds like a solid team is in place to fulfill that goal.
