There are only three reasons celebrities attend the MTV Movie Awards: They have a project to promote, they know they are getting an award or they appear on one of MTV's scripted or reality television shows. As such, there's really no tension or suspense of any kind except on the blue carpet, where this year actors favored wild and crazy prints.

Shailene Woodley, outspoken lover of casual-wear, looked at ease on Sunday in high-waisted pants and a striped t-shirt by Isabel Marant. Bella Thorne and Anna Camp both opted for complicated but pretty Peter Pilotto dresses. Charli XCX and Michael B. Jordon went for head-to-toe plaid, she in lime green and pink and he in red and black. Notable exceptions to the print trend included Scarlett Johansson in Zuhair Murad, Cara Delevingne in Reem Acra and Jennifer Lopez in Versace. They kept things relatively simple in solid colors, instead playing with cutouts, sheer panels and deep necklines. Our favorite, however, was Rachel Antonoff in a sea-foam green suit. It's bold, weird, and on brand -- just like the MTV Movie Awards.

Read on to see more looks from the 2015 MTV Movie Awards.
