There was a large, camera-wielding crowd standing outside the Palais d’Iéna on Wednesday afternoon, where Miu Miu — which can always be counted on to draw a number of young, famous faces to its show each season — held the final event of Paris Fashion Week. Léa Seydoux and Stacy Martin were among those who got the cameras clicking as they made their way inside, dark but for the gold and silver arcs and ramps that made up the set.

Miuccia Prada takes a far less cerebral approach to her collections for Miu Miu, focusing on pieces — usually glittering high-heeled shoes and neat little top-handled bags — guaranteed to get editors salivating. To this she added double-breasted coats in dizzying geometric prints, midi skirts that flared chicly above lace-up boots, fussy see-through dresses edged in exaggerated lace ruffles and fat fur stoles in acid colors. Dark lipstick, ornate headbands and soft satin ballet flats with buckled straps and miss-matched ribbons played up the rebellious teen spirit of the collection.

All that sparkle left everyone feeling pretty good, and as guests exited the venue, someone cheered, "It's over!"
