The MTV Europe Music Awards, the European counterpart of the VMAs, took place in Milan on Sunday night, hosted by Ruby Rose, the Australian model, DJ and breakout star of hit Netflix series "Orange Is the New Black." While MTV isn't really known for its actual music-related programming these days (when's the last time you watched a music video not on the Internet?), its events around the world still bring out the industry's biggest names, like Justin Bieber, Pharrell, Ellie Goulding and Charli XCX, who all took to the red carpet in some very bold outfits — another MTV signature.

Much like the 2015 edition of the VMAs, the top trend of the evening was skin — and lots of it. Model Hailey Baldwin took home the honor of most naked, as she showed up in a strappy, cutout-heavy Atelier Versace minidress that left very little to the imagination. The show's host, Miss Rose, also had a number of revealing ensembles in rotation, including one very low-cut suit by Armani Privé that took the tuxedo dressing red carpet trend to a very sexy new level. Down-to-there necklines were particularly popular, with Goulding, "Pretty Little Liars" star Shay Mitchell, British singer Jess Glynne and more all opting for deep-V dresses.

There were fewer notable stylish males on the scene, but Bieber — who debuted his new broody attitude and swooping haircut at the VMAs — took a play from the Kanye West stylebook, opting for a comfy, monochromatic look that seemed ideal for heading up to the stage time after time to collect his five awards. And then there was Pharrell, a known fan of theme dressing, who reprised his vintage train conductor-inspired  look — composed of a pair of overalls and an old-timey cap. At least he seems to have retired his bellhop look?
