Pia Miller sizzles while Alec Snow looks dapper at racing launch

Pia Miller sizzles while Alec Snow looks dapper at racing launch:

They're a long way from Summer Bay.

But Home And Away stars Pia Miller and Alec Snow looked well and truly at home at the Surfer's Paradise launch of the Magic Millions Racing Carnival on the Gold Coast on Tuesday.

Pia, 31, sizzled as she swapped her bikini for a sexy black dress, with a plunging neckline.

The spaghetti straps gave way to a cross over shimmering top half before the A-line skirt fell to a calf length.

A sexy split along the side showed off the Chilean-born Australian's long lean tanned legs, while pointed-toe high heel pumps added inches to the former model's frame.

The brunette beauty looked glamorous at the afternoon event, held by RM Williams, with her voluminous locks looking effortlessly sexy while her smoky eye make up added a sultry flair to her look.

Keeping accessories to a bear minimum, the actress and mother-of-two only sported her whopping diamond engagement and wedding rings on her left hand, leaving the showstopping dress centre of attention.

The newcomer to Summer Bay has been married to former AFL player Brad Miller for seven years but attended the event solo and was seen chatting to fellow model Amanda Ware among others.

Pia's co-star Alec Snow was also at the launch event with his girlfriend and former Home And Away actress Demi Harman.

The couple looked sophisticated and chic in their colour co-ordinated outfits.

Alec looked dapper in a check grey and white suite with a crisp white shirt and thin black tie and leather belt.

'Balmy Gold Coast afternoons,' she wrote next to a picture posted on Instagram, glammed up on the beach, hash-tagging the event.

The appropriately named Paradise City Playsuit, features a plaunging cut-out feature under the bust and sheer black material covering the sexy star's toned torso.

Adding strappy black heels to the ensemble and pulling back her blonde hair, the starlet kept the ensemble simple just like Pia.

The 21-year-old left the Aussie soap at the end of last year and will make her presenting debut on long running lifestyle program Better Homes & Gardens later this year.

Royal Zara Phillips, as well as racing royalty Francesca Cumani and Kate Waterhouse, all attended the event, as did 2015 Jeep Magic Millions Ambassador Rachael Finch.

Since first appearing in its pages in 2009, British model Cara Delevingne has been a main fixture in Katie Grand's Love magazine. Aside from covering the glossy four times, she's starred in Love's annual Advent Calendar for years and has been one of the prominently featured models in the magazine's exclusive digital projects — including lip-synching to L.L. Cool J for a video that went viral (called "Caraoke") and a flirty black and white Valentine's Day clip entitled "In Bed with Cara."

Now, the ubiquitous 22-year-old has received an even higher honor from the magazine, and according to a release from Love, she's been officially given the title of contributing editor. She guest edits the upcoming Spring/Summer 2015 issue, which hits newsstands Feb. 9. Delevingne isn't the first model to get a coveted slot on Love's masthead, and she follows in the footsteps of Edie Campbell, who received the same honor last year.

"I’ve always known that [Delevingne]’s an exceptionally bright, sharp and hilarious young woman. That’s why I was so keen to let her have this chance to exercise her skills as a journalist and writer," Grand said in a statement. "And she has proven herself to be a fearless interviewer, never afraid to ask all the questions we want to know the answers to."

As if Delevingne's guest edit isn't a big enough selling point about the issue — which also teased a cover last month that features the model being straddled by Kendall Jenner — a new cover for the Spring/Summer 2015 issue was unveiled this weekend, featuring none other than Balmain face Kim Kardashian wearing custom Prada and with bleached eyebrows (see above). Kardashian shared news of her cover on her Instagram over the weekend, writing: “We shot for 3 days straight at a motel in LA. One night til 4am. @kegrand dressed me in all vintage and custom @Prada and bleached my brows! Can't wait for u to see 30+ page spread with Steven Klein.” Don't say we didn't warn you that this family wasn't going anywhere in 2015.

Gigi Hadid’s prodigious success in 2014 is continuing into the new year. Guess has released two preview photos for its spring/summer 2015 campaign via designer Paul Marciano's Instagram. The California girl looks right at home in the sunlight and a revealing, fitted knit dress in one shot, and topless with custom Marciano jeans in the other. Now, let’s see that Victoria’s Secret shoot. {Fashion Gone Rogue}

Swarovski is the latest brand to step into the wearable technology arena. On Monday, the company unveiled its Activity Tracking Crystal, which can be placed in a range of "Shine" pieces -- necklace pendants, bracelets, watch bands -- to track steps, sleep patterns, distance traveled and calories burned. Though wearables are usually more athletic in design, they've got a huge makeover in the past year from brands like Opening Ceremony and Tory Burch. Swarovski hopes to stand out to consumers looking for a more classic, glittery style. {WWD}

In honor of the excellent films released in the past year (and the slew of award shows coming up), W magazine has released its "Best Performances" spread, shot by Tim Walker. The year’s best actors and actresses, including Keira Knightley, Bradley Cooper, Emma Stone, Amy Adams, Benedict Cumberbatch and Reese Witherspoon, were transformed into eccentric and whimsical characters with '60s flair. The magazine also revealed seven accompanying covers for its February movie-themed issue.  {W}

The spring campaigns are coming! Leading the charge are Miu Miu's cinematic ads, shot by Steven Meisel. The campaign features models Imogen Poots, Mia Goth and Marine Vacth looking moody in jewel-toned coats and accessories. {WWD}

Revlon is starting off the new year with a lawsuit. Former Chief Scientific Officer Alan Meyers claims that he was fired by the cosmetic company as an act of retaliation and discrimination against him and is seeking unspecified damages. According to Meyers, Revlon’s Italian CEO, Lorenzo Delpani, often lashed out at Meyers in front of other employees, making both anti-Semetic and anti-American comments. Equally concerning are Meyers claims that he was let go after Delpani failed to listen to his concerns about safety hazards in newly acquired factories. Revlon denies these allegations, calling them “baseless” and “frivolous.” {Business of Fashion}

In other campaign news, Daria Werbowy and Arthur Grosse star in the spring 2015 ads for Salvatore Ferragamo. The campaign was shot in Los Angeles by Mert & Marcus and highlights the brand's leather goods and colorful apparel. {Fashionista inbox}

Jennifer Aniston is InStyle's February cover star. For her sixth time fronting the glossy, the actress wears a bright red Valentino dress and talks about her Oscar-buzz worthy performance in "Cake." {Fashion Gone Rogue}

Gucci also previewed its upcoming campaign with up-close images of Polish model Malgosia Bela. Like Ferragamo, the Italian house tapped Mert & Marcus to shoot the campaign, and the simple background lets the clothes speak for themselves, showcasing a distinct '70s look with lots of fur and suede. To all those Kendall Jenner haters out there who say the only reason she's a model is because of her famous, Internet-breaking sister -- her sister agrees with you. In a new teaser video for the upcoming season of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," a frustrated Kim is seen venting to sister Kourtney about what we can only presume is little sis, Ken Jen, below:

Coach to Acquire Stuart Weitzman for $574 Million

Coach to Acquire Stuart Weitzman for $574 Million:

Coach is kicking off 2015 with its first acquisition ever. The American leather goods company has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Stuart Weitzman from its current owner, Sycamore Partners, both brands announced Tuesday. The news follows reports from last August that Sycamore was looking to unload Stuart Weitzman after its buyout of Jones Group. In the latest bidding war, Coach reportedly faced competition from Brown Shoe Co. and private equity firm Advent International Corp for the luxury shoe brand.

The winning deal? Coach will initially shell out approximately $530 million cash to Sycamore Partners, in addition to another $44 million, give or take, contingent upon "selected revenue targets" over the three years following the close of the transaction, per a release. But considering that sources expected Stuart Weitzman to be worth closer to $800 million, it appears that Coach is getting a pretty good deal.

Coach CEO Victor Luis said in a statement that "the size, scope and vibrancy of the Stuart Weitzman brand, along with the continuity of its management team, allows for a seamless transition to Coach ownership, as we continue to focus on Coach’s brand transformation," adding that he plans to develop Stuart Weitzman globally and also benefit from the brand's "expertise in footwear development where they’re proven leaders in fashion and fit."

"In Coach, we have found a strategic partner that respects our culture, and offers the scale, resources, and global business acumen to enable us to realize our full potential," said Stuart Weitzman, the brand's creative director and executive chairman.

While the acquisition is a bit of a surprising move for Coach, Stuart Weitzman's steady sales growth should help steady the company during the tumultuous revamp phase of its flagship brand.

The 6 Best Style Transformations We've Ever Seen

The 6 Best Style Transformations We've Ever Seen:

We never thought we'd see the day when celebs like Kim Kardashian and Nicole Richie were considered style icons. But believe it or not, that day has arrived. While their fashion choices in the early aughts may have been cringe-worthy, today they are among some of the best-dressed women in the world.

After seeing the celebrity style transformations below, we have a feeling you're going to start believing in miracles -- just kidding (kind of). If you're thinking of changing up your fashion game in 2015, you're going to want to take some inspiration from the stars who have done total style 180's. It just goes to show, anything is possible.

  • Kim Kardashian

    Getty Images
    Arguably one of the biggest style transformations of the year, Kim K. has gone from a bandage dress-wearing, cleavage-baring reality star to a discerning front-row fashion week darling (all with a little help from her hubby). We don't know about you, but we want just about everything she wore in 2014.

  • Solange Knowles

    Getty Images
    Beyoncé who? While Solange may have stayed out of the spotlight in the beginning of her career, 2014 was her time to shine. Between that wedding and her red carpet looks, we think it's safe to say that she has developed a better fashion sense than her big sis.

  • Kate Middleton

    Getty Images
    Kate Middleton didn't exactly start out looking like a duchess, but she has really come into her own over the last few years. This girl has a sophisticated elegance to rival any royal.

  • Getty Images

  • Rihanna

    Getty Images
    Well, Riri certainly keeps us on our toes. Back in the day the singer wore things that veered on the, ahem, tacky side, but lately, she is all high-fashion, all the time.

  • Getty Images

  • Nicole Richie

    Getty Images
    During the "Simple Life" era, Richie favored short shorts and ripped T-shirts, but not anymore. The mother of two knows how to put together an outfit and has become a mainstay on best-dressed list everywhere.

  • Getty Images

  • Victoria Beckham

    Getty Images
    From a pop sensation to a fashion designer, Posh Spice has seen both a career and style transformation over the years. Once a fan of tight, sheer dresses, Beckham is now a minimalist with an eye for expert-tailoring and sleek silhouettes.

Nicole Scherzinger speaks to Cosmopolitan Body about her feel-good secrets

Thanks to her toned, flawless physique Nicole Scherzinger has one of the most envied figures in the world.

However, she admits staying in shape isn't as easy for her as it used to be.

Speaking to Cosmopolitan Body she reveals: “I’m like any woman – my weight fluctuates up and down. I have good days and bad days.

"For many years I worked out every single day, but now I’m in my thirties it’s like pulling teeth. I gotta make myself work out – you need to find that balance.”

Nicole says, 'Healthy for me means a healthy mind'

Nicole is currently squeezing gym sessions into her busy schedule alongside her starring role as Grizabella in the revival of Cats.

And despite performing six days a week, the former Pussycat Doll says she still has boundless energy.

Nicole credits her fitness regime for her never-ending positivity.

“Exercise changes everything about how I approach my day and helps me go about life with confidence – that’s the main reason I do it.

"It gives me clarity and makes me feel stronger. It’s not so much for the physical and vanity side of it. I do it more for the emotional and mental strength it gives me.”

The West End star says it's 'really hard' to eat healthily in London

The 36-year-old girlfriend of F1 star Lewis Hamilton adds: “Healthy for me means a healthy mind, then everything else becomes aligned – the mental physical, spiritual… everything…

"Being happy means having balance, being creative and finding peace.”

However, the singer and former X Factor judge admits it is a struggle to eat healthily while living in the UK.

"When I finish work it can be really hard to eat healthily – when it’s cold you just want to eat a melted-cheese panini and soup.

"I’m going to turn into a cup of tea and a curry by the time I leave London! I eat differently in the UK from when I’m in LA.

"Over there, I’m happy eating a kale salad and sushi rolls but with this weather I’ve been eating a lot of curry.

"I do miss the sun in LA, but London inspires me in a different way. It’s like being in a movie.”

'Vogue' UK Finally Breaks Its All-White Streak With Jourdan Dunn

'Vogue' UK Finally Breaks Its All-White Streak With Jourdan Dunn:

2015 magazine covers are already rolling in, and Jourdan Dunn is Vogue UK's February 2015 cover girl, the model revealed on Instagram Friday. Though she has covered Miss Vogue UK, the glossy's teen offshoot, it's surprisingly her first time covering the magazine.

Not only is the cover gorge, showcasing the British beauty's newish blonde bob and a dress from Prada's spring 2015 collection, but it's also a long time coming, for a few reasons. For one, just about every one of Dunn's top model contemporaries — Cara Delevingne, Georgia May Jagger, Kate Upton, Freja Beha — has covered the magazine at least once. In fact, Delevingne got two covers in 2014 alone, as did Kate Moss, who has covered the glossy at least once per year since her career began. One thing all of those models have in common? They're all white; so is every single Vogue UK cover star of 2014, which the magazine (perhaps accidentally) made abundantly clear with the below Instagram.

Most significantly, Dunn is the first black model to cover the magazine solo since Naomi Campbell in 2002. Vogue UK EIC Alexandra Schulman once defended the homogeneity of her cover stars thusly in an interview with BBC radio: "[She's] the most perfect girl next door, better than yourself. People always say, 'Why do you have thin models? That's not what people look like.' But nobody wants to see a real person on the cover."

Dunn, who has been outspoken about racism in the fashion industry, currently stars alongside Campbell in the spring 2015 Burberry ads.

While we're glad Vogue UK has finally broken this disappointing and, frankly, embarrassing all-white streak, the magazine industry still has a long way to go when it comes to cover star diversity. The Fashion Spot recently found that in 2014, white models got almost five times more covers than black models. Other publications that failed to use any cover stars of color last year included Harper’s Bazaar U.S. and U.K., Vogue U.K., Vogue Netherlands, Vogue Paris, Vogue Ukraine, Vogue Russia, Teen Vogue, NuméroLove and Porter.

On the other hand, as The Cut pointed outVogue U.S. actually made an improvement in cover diversity in 2014, featuring Rihanna, Lupita Nyong'o, Joan Smalls (alongside other models) and Kanye West. Though, unfortunately, that seemed to be an exception to the rule. Here's hoping editors make up for it in 2015.

'Lucky' Puts Three Bloggers on Its February Cover

'Lucky' Puts Three Bloggers on Its February Cover:

Since taking the helm of Lucky magazine, Editor in Chief Eva Chen has mashed up aspirational editorials with street style and fashion stars from the web. For the title's February 2015 issue, Chen is taking that mix to the next level by putting three superstar bloggers on the cover in lieu of a model or mainstream celebrity.

Shot in Paris, Chiara Ferragni of The Blonde Salad, Zanita Whittington, and Nicole Warne of Gary Pepper Girl pose together as "Fashion's Digital Superstars." According to Lucky, bloggers can also be tastemakers: "it's no longer uncommon at shows to see editors seated alongside bloggers who just a few years ago saw fashion as a mere hobby rather than a full-fledged career," the mag writes.

While Lucky has previously featured bloggers like Leandra Medine of Man Repeller and Emily Weiss of Into the Gloss in shopping features and editorials, this issue marks the first time personal style bloggers have landed a cover.
