Erin Wasson Sets Her Next Plan of Attack

Erin Wasson Sets Her Next Plan of Attack:

After a decade and a half in the business, Erin Wasson has become known just as much for her catwalk appearances at Alexander Wang, Chanel and Givenchy as her irreverent style and enviable laid-back vibe.  For every runway she’s walked she’s lent her hand to just as many fashion collaborations— designing everything from jewelry for Low Luv to cropped shirts for RVCA to bumper stickers.  Now, the all-American model is looking to capitalize on her unique personal brand once again, this time teaming up with PacSun on a line entitled P.S. Erin Wasson, WWD reports.

Launching in the midst of festival season, the collection is said to be inspired by pieces from Erin’s own closet (most of it is vintage), which the retailer hopes will help push the chain into “new fashion territory.” Customers can expect a range of Americana and Western themed pieces including bell-bottoms, swimsuits, a studded bodysuit and “pieces featuring a phrase oft-used by Wasson: “Babe is Busy.”"

“At this juncture in the road, I’m very close to this customer, the younger girl who’s very hip to what’s going on. I feel like I can give these girls that authenticity,” said the 33-year-old model-turned-actress.

While the line’s debut collection won’t hit stores until next month, Erin and PacSun are already looking ahead, with the fall collection already in the works.

“More than anything, I’m looking for this as a chance for me to build a brand and for this to be a moment of longevity,” said Erin. “[And] not just stick around for a couple of seasons.”

The 25-piece collection retails between $25 and $60, and launches in select stores on May 13.
