Being a woman on the Internet, we've learned by now, is difficult. And the more famous you are, the harder it gets.

Despite Gigi Hadid's irrepressible success as a model — walking shows like Versace, Jeremy Scott and Tom Ford; booking editorials in Vogue and V; and landing in campaigns for Balmain and Topshop — there are apparently some commenters on social media who would rather cut her down for having a body that is curvier than the average high fashion model's than celebrate her triumphs. Hadid took to Instagram on Monday morning to post a note calling out her trolls and telling them, pretty graciously, that though they did get to her a little, she's not going to change herself and she's not going to quit.

"I represent a body image that wasn't accepted in high-fashion before, and I'm very lucky to be supported by the designers, stylists, and editors that I am: ones that know this is fashion, it's art; it can never stay the same," she writes.

"If you don't like it, don't follow me, don't watch me, cause I'm not going anywhere."

Nor should she. Read the full note below.
