Valentino might be nearing IPO

Valentino Fashion Group SPA might be seeking an initial public offering. According to unnamed sources, Qatari-based Mayhoola for Investments SPC, which bought Valentino in 2012, is working with Rothschild on the potential IPO, which would value the Italian label at €2 billion (about $2.27 billion). {Bloomberg Business}

Burberry hires two new executives

Burberry has hired Leanne Wood and Fumbi Chima as chief people officer and chief information officer, respectively. Prior to her appointment, Wood served as group human resources director of Diageo, and will now be reporting to Burberry's Christopher Bailey in her new role.
