Since Kate Middleton and Prince William wed in April 2011, the pair has been determined to portray themselves as England's most the down-to-earth royals. The Duke of Cambridge, rather than a professional driver, drove the family home from the hospital after his Duchess gave birth to both George and Charlotte. They still have only one nanny on their payroll. They hung out with One Direction! But every now and again, these so-called "normal" monarchs deserve an evening to take full advantage of their crown-given entitlement and see a hugely anticipated movie before it hits theaters.

On Monday evening, Kate Middleton, Prince William and professional bachelor Prince Harry hit up the red carpet for "Spectre"'s world premiere at Royal Albert Hall — making it the Prince and Duchess's second formal appearance of the day. For the occasion, she wore a blue silk chiffon gown with sheer, billowing sleeves and a crystal belt, custom-made by her go-to formalwear designer, Jenny Packham. Ice blue, as we know, is one of the Duchess's favorite colors to wear on the red carpet; shortly after announcing her second pregnancy in Oct. 2014, she attended the Wildlife Photographer Awards in a similar Jenny Packham dress, this time with a high slit up its left side. Monday's gown, for the record, was certainly not lacking in the elegant playfulness that the Duchess has grown to prefer for black-tie events: The entire back is cloaked in the same sheer material that makes up her sleeves, with nary a strap or lining in sight. It's a far cry from the constellation-printed Tabitha Webb frock she wore earlier in the day, but, as always, it's fun to see the Duchess take such age-appropriate sartorial risks.

Anyway, Kate, how was the movie?
