With just two weeks until Thanksgiving and six until Christmas, the time has come for luxury labels and fast-fashion retailers alike to (prematurely) commence the holiday season. Topshop, Burberry and Kate Spade have all dropped their respective seasonal advertisements in the last week — and as of Tuesday morning, so too did H&M, which first announced in July that it had tapped Katy Perry as its festive campaign star. Now, a whole four months later, the 31-year-old's ads have landed (and in the midst of a brutal controversy surrounding Starbucks's red holiday cups, no less!). How timely!

In the campaign's five ads, Perry wears a number of trendy takes on traditional Christmas garb, all while sidling up to human-sized gingerbread men or a giant candy cane. And against a clean white background, the images do an excellent job of selling the collection, which includes a light-weight T-shirt embellished with a rhinestone bow and a long-sleeved shirt titled the "Elfie Selfie" sweater — featuring just the body of an elf up to the neckline. Get it?

This season, H&M's holiday offerings will also include specially designed gift cards. For each card bought, the H&M Conscious Foundation will donate 5 percent of the price to UNICEF, which will then use the proceeds to provide quality secondary school education to children in Myanmar. The gift cards will be available in global H&M stories through Dec. 31.

H&M's holiday collection hits stores and online beginning mid-November — but in the meantime, click through the gallery below to see Perry's full campaign.
