With the Victoria's Secret catwalk show just a few sleeps away, Australian model Shanina Shaik has immersed herself into an intense fitness regime to get herself runway ready.

Taking to Snapchat on Saturday, the 24-year-old shared a makeup free image, in which she sported some casual workout gear and informed fans she was: 'Ready to #TrainLikeAnAngel'.

Despite the brunette beauty not being one of the 15 models donning angel wings at the New York fashion show on November 10, Shanina will still be strutting her stuff in sultry lingerie, and needs to keep in shape accordingly.

Casually posing for the selfie captured on her mobile phone, the model stares into the camera with her glistening hazel eyes.

A black single top showcased her petite upper frame, while her workout ensemble was completed with a pair of grey tracksuit pants.

Shanina's dark tresses were pulled back in a high bun, while she rested her right hand on her cheek and effortlessly exuded a natural glow.

Shanina, who has graced the lingerie brand's runway show in 2011, 2012 and 2014, announced last weekend that she will be returning for 2015.

Taking to social media to share the exciting hews she wrote: 'I'm so incredibly happy & honored to announce that I have been chosen to walk in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2015.'

She will share the catwalk this year with newcomers Gigi Hadid and Bridget Malcolm, a fellow Australian model.

Other Antipodean stunners who have hit the runway include Miranda Kerr, Jessica Hart, Elyse Taylor, Abbey Lee Kershaw and Sarah Stephens.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia in August this year, Shanina said she was definitely keen on returning to the runway for Victoria's Secret once more.

'I hope so yeah. The show's coming up again this year so it's going to be super exciting and all the girls will be trying out for the show coming October,' she told DMA.

The 2015 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show will be held in New York City on November 10 and will be screened on TV in December.
