Imagine this: At 21 years old, just a few years out of performing arts school and with no formal experience under your belt, you get plucked from relative obscurity to appear — nay, star — in J.J. Abrams's latest "Star Wars" reboot. It sounds crazy, like something out of a hallucinogenic fever dream, but it's what happened to British actress Daisy Ridley (and Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill before her). Now 23, Ridley has just hit the U.S. publicity circuit to promote the forthcoming "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" in which she appears as Rey, a desert scavenger starring opposite John Boyega, yet another largely unknown face. While she may remain somewhat unrecognized now, that's all going to change the moment "The Force Awakens" opens on Dec. 18.

With the film's month-long press tour kicking off this week, Ridley has tapped one of Hollywood's top stylists, Petra Flannery, whose extensive client list includes the likes of Carey Mulligan, Amy Adams and Emma Stone. They're big-time movie stars, and Ridley already fits right in. Her latest outing was Wednesday night's Force 4 Fashion launch event in New York City, where she, along with Boyega and fellow co-star Lupita Nyong'o, were guests of honor. For the occasion, Ridley wore a long-sleeve minidress from David Koma's spring 2016 collection with a pair of pointy-toe sandals, a constellation tattoo (BECAUSE OF "STAR WARS?") plainly visible on her left foot. The whole look was sleek, structural and yet, thanks to a tousled updo situation, the perfect amount of ladylike.

Let's look at one more picture of Ridley and Boyega together. DAW.

Anyway, now's a good time to follow her on Instagram (when she still has sub-200,000 followers!), which is chock full of adorable fangirl moments, beast-y gym videos and toothy selfies. You won't be sorry.
