Fresh off her split from beau of nearly four years Zac Efron, newly-single Sucker Punch star Vanessa Hudgens will get a crash course in drowning her sorrows in vodka at a birthday bash hosted in her honor at the tony Pure Nightclub in Las Vegas this Saturday night.
The actress, who turned 22 on Tuesday, split with Efron earlier this month. The former High School Musical co-stars met on the set of the Disney film and shot to fame playing Troy and Gabriella, but have decided to call it quits and remain “good friends.”
Zanessa simply grew up and grew apart, a source close to the former couple says.
It happens.
“It was mutual. They have been together for so long. It just ran its course. They are still talking and still friends. There’s no drama. No one cheated. They just grew up.”
The couple’s work commitments have kept them apart since the High School Musical movies wrapped two years ago. As news of their split breaks, Zac is filming his new movie The Lucky One in New Orleans while Vanessa is working on Journey 2: The Mysterious Island in Hawaii.
