Today was a good day for all of you LOVE-aholics out there; Katie Grand and Co. just released a teensy image of the first cover of the fifth issue, a black and white photo of Lea T. and a Burberry-bedecked Kate Moss, shot by Mert & Marcus with the headline “This is Hardcore.”

If you are even half as excited as I am about LOVE’s newest issue, the cover is just the fix to have you up at night guessing at what kind of goodies will be inside.

As if that wasn’t enough to make my countdown to February 7 all the more suspenseful, the LOVE website has been completely made-over with the Lea T. and Kate cover as the background and a short movie previewing the contents on the issue. From the images in the video, I think this issue of LOVE is going to be just as jaw-dropping as the rest.

MTV executives are concerned that Skins — the network’s sexy new teen drama — may violate federal child pornography statutes.

MTV fears it’s “taking a risk” by airing the show, which is an American incarnation of the UK hit of the same name, according to The New York Times. The paper cites sources who claim network producers has ordered the show to tone down some of the more explicit scenes for fear of not only inciting public backlash but also criminal prosecution. Executives are said to be concerned that a future episode features 17-year-old Jesse Carere, who plays Chris, running down the street naked and erect after he takes erectile dysfunction medication.

“The planned changes indicate that MTV, which has been pushing the envelope for decades, may be concerned that it pushed too far this time,” The Times writes.

Child pornography is described as any visual depiction of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct. Even a picture of a naked child may constitute pornography if it is “significantly sexually suggestive.”
The fears are compounded by the fact that a number of the cast members on the show are under 18.

A source at MTV claimed that executives held meetings on Tuesday to discuss the issue, but MTV rep Jeannie Kedas claims the network’s lulling over child pornography laws are hogwash.

“Skins is a show that addresses real-world issues confronting teens in a frank way,” she said. “We review all of our shows and work with all of our producers on an ongoing basis to ensure our shows comply with laws and community standards. We are confident that the episodes of Skins will not only comply with all applicable legal requirements, but also with our responsibilities to our viewers.”

Skins airs Mondays at 10/9c on MTV.

Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler were greeted by star struck 'American Idol' contestants as they debuted on the judging panel. Randy Jackson at times felt he was living in the shadow of their overwhelming fame, but the 'Idol' veteran held his own among the rookies. Neither newbie took on Simon Cowell's sinister role, but Steven spit out some witty phrases. The kind Jennifer found it hard to say 'no' to the contestants with a glimmer of hope in their eyes, but was forced to draw the line when singers were not up to par. Many of 'American Idol' season 10's most promising contestants were merely in elementary school when the show debuted a decade ago. In the first two days of the audition round, the metropolitan area-based teens tried to prove they were mature beyond their years at the New York and New Jersey auditions. Steven Tyler may not have been 'feeling that pizazz' with Kenzie Palmer's audition, but all three judges agreed the 15-year-old student from Pennsylvania deserved to progress. Randy Jackson tapped the vibrant Victoria Huggins, 16, as having 'the most personality ever on 'Idol.'' The bubbly and comedic youth from Lumberton, NC earned her plane ticket to LA by hopping aboard 'The Midnight Train to Georgia.' Veteran contestant Rachel Zevita was 'shocked' that Jennifer Lopez recognized her from her season six appearance, in which she was dismissed from the show after making it to Hollywood. Although her rendition of 'Hallelujah' didn't live up to the expectations Jennifer set for her, Steven said, 'We ought to let her in the door, water that flower, and let her grow.' With a golden ticket in hand, Rachel will be en route to Hollywood for a second chance at fame and glory. Jenny from the block had a hard time putting wannabe singers on the chopping block. Though a native New Yorker, the star of 'Jersey Girl' had to tell some pitchy singers to fuhgeddaboudit in the Garden State. Toji 'Pop' Asano, a 25-year-old originally from Japan, tried to blend his love of Michael Jackson with Miley Cyrus' 'Party in the USA.' While he was 'moving my hips like yeah,' the judges were nodding their heads like nah. The judges encouraged Achille Lovle, originally from the Ivory Coast, to zip her lips after butchering Madonna's 'Undress Yourself.' Watch out 'bikini girl,' the curvaceous Tiffany Rios is in town and not afraid to flaunt what she's got in a bikini top. J.Lo was JWowwed when the dance instructor brought her Puerto Rican curves to the stage. With teased hair taking her to new heights, Tiffany commended Jennifer for showing the world 'you don't have to be a stick figure.' Through to the next round, Steven said, 'You proved to me you can really sing your tushula off.' Chris Cordeiro, an 18-year-old from North Arlington, NJ has a heart of gold, bringing awareness to the dangers of texting while driving in a campaign to become an Eagle Scout. However, the Fordham University freshman was shown the highway after Steven said, 'You scared everybody in the room,' in response to Chris' rendition of Frank Sinatra's 'My Way.' Brielle Von Hugel also brought a heartwarming story. The 16-year-old from Staten Island dedicated her audition to her father, who is a cancer survivor. After belting out 'Endless Love,' Brielle got invited to Los Angeles. Melinda Ademi and her family fled Kosovo after winning a lottery to immigrate to the United States. Alicia Keys' 'If I Ain't Got You' prompted Jennifer to say, 'Now you can live the American dream.' Long Islander Robbie Rosen, 16, was wheelchair bound at age five after being diagnosed with hip synovitis. Grateful to have recovered from the disease and walking, the healthy teenager impressed the judges with 'Yesterday' by the Beatles. In another homeless to Hollywood story, Travis Orlando's voice earned him a trip to Tinseltown, much like Ted Williams. The 16-years-old's family was forced to live in a shelter while his dad battled an illness. Now back in a permanent home, Travis hopes his twin brother and the rest of their family can benefit from his talent. Two Broadway babies were born and given the chance to grow into 'Idols.' Springfield, Massachusetts resident Ashley Sullivan proclaimed 'Britney Spears is my goddess,' but opted for the show tune 'Gimme Gimme' from 'Thoroughly Modern Millie' instead of Britney's 'Gimme Gimme More.' Randy wanted to give her the ax, but Jennifer and Steven rallied behind Ashley. Times Square singing waitress Devyn Rush put a cherry on top of 'God Bless the Child.' Steven said, 'That was delicious. That was the dessert to the lunch.' 'American Idol' scopes out the talent in New Orleans on Thursday night on Fox.

Hear Ye. Hear Ye. Calling all Little Monsters and Lady Boys! It’s pretty difficult to top wearing beef jerky as an evening gown, but Lady Gaga seems to have found a way to out do even her most outlandish stunts: The pop tart’s reportedly casting transsexuals to star as video vixens in her hotly-anticipated “Born This Way” video promo.

With her award-winning videos after becoming mini-movies and major online events, the Grammy winner has a lot to live up to and hit-up a transsexual club in her native New York last week to cast for her next headline-grabbing act. A select few transgender folks will make cameos in the clip, which is due to begin filming in The Big Apple next week.

Gaga’s expected to premiere “Born This Way” right after the 2011 Grammy Awards Feb 13 (She’s a contender for Album of the Year), while the LP of the same name is scheduled for release on May 23.

Now that her days as Disney’s Hannah Montana are done, controversial teen pop sensation Miley Cyrus is readying her next film role. Remember when Miley starred in Rock Mafia’s “The Big Bang” music video alongside Kevin Zegers? Of course you do. What you may not know is that Cyrus’ separated stage mom, Tish, is working with producer Suzanne Todd to turn the concept of that promo into a full-length film drama, starring Miley, of course.

The music video shows Miley and Kevin engaging in various romantic entanglements “blur fantasy and reality,” combining all the aspects of mystery, adventure, romance, and the supernatural.

It would make a great plot for a film, a tipster with ties to Tish told E! Online this month.

“Tish and Todd are hatching the script with Miley’s musical collaborators Rock Mafia, the song and music video’s producer.”

A photograph that appears to show the Wizards of Waverly Place actress topless has been branded a fake.

Selena — a girl so clean-cut that she’s often spotted wearing a purity ring — and her conservative family are considering legal action against a creative Photoshopper who doctored-up an image which appears to show the 18-year-old half-naked and released it online this week.

Attorneys have issued a cease and desist letter to the unnamed creator after the picture surfaced on the internet.

“The alleged photo of Selena Gomez is absolutely not her. Selena’s family is pursuing all available remedies to deal with the offender,” a spokesperson for the singer/actress told TMZ.com Wednesday.
