The Pride of Barbados continues to shake things up overseas. Rihanna is outraged after learning her controversial track “S&M” has been renamed “Come On” by the UK’s BBC Radio 1, presumably because of the sexual connotations affiliated with the song’s original title.
The latest single from Rihanna’s Loud LP features risque lyrics about sex, whips and chains. Just days after the song’s video promo — in which she sucks on a banana and ties a man to a bed — was banned in 11 countries and censored on YouTube, it was introduced to listeners under its alternative title by Radio 1 DJ Reggie Yates on Sunday.
Oh — did we forget to mention that song had been banned from airing on The BBC’s flagship station before 7 PM?
A bewildered Rihanna was alerted to the change by a fan, who inquired about the name change via Twitter: “Are you fucking kidding me?” she replied. Another fan asked if she was okay with the title change, to which she firmly stated: “Absolutely NOT!” According to MTV News, the UK’s Official Charts Company, who compile the country’s chart stats, was also unaware of the change.

With the release of the world’s next great gay anthem set for Friday, the outre music sensation couldn’t help herself and Tweeted the cover art accompanying the single for her legion of Little Monsters on Tuesday.
The black-and-white snapshot features a topless Gaga with blown out hair and geisha-inspired eye make-up.
“Trois jours,” the pop star wrote, which loosely translate means: “Three days.”
“Can’t wait any longer,” Gaga added a short time later.
The singer — who is up for an Album of the Year Grammy at this weekend’s 2011 Grammy Awards — is set to perform the track for the first time at this weekend’s ceremony at the Staples Center. The album, also titled Born This Way, is being prepped for a May 23 release.

With Bieber’s concert film, Never Say Never, poised for release this Friday, MAD editor-in-chief John Ficarra deemed this the perfect time for the “One Less Lonely Girl” crooner to make his spoof cover debut.
“That was probably the highlight of his career and being on the cover of MAD is the lowlight. We like to do what we call Zeitgeist covers,” Ficarra told The Associated Press Tuesday. “When we found that his movie was debuting just about the same time we would be coming with the issue, we knew he’d be all over the place. He’ll hate it and buy every copy, and it will be a sellout. Or, conversely, Bieber won’t even notice and we’ll probably sell three copies of the issue,” he added.
Ficarra says his mag’s prepared for the onslaught of hate mail its likely to get once the cover hits newsstands, especially after watching Selena Gomez and Kim Kardashian become the bane of existence for gaggles of screaming tweens once they dared to get too close to the beloved teen singing sensation.
“Every time we put one of these young teen stars on the covers — this goes back to New Kids on the Block — we do get a ton of mail from prepubescent girls. The weird thing is I happened to be looking through old issues and we did a piece on Elvis, too. So that must be hardwired into the DNA of prepubescent girls. When somebody attacks, they do the same. The magazine has changed quite a bit. We take ads, which was a trade-off for the color. Certainly the humor has been ramped up as society has been ramped up. MAD just reflects the signs of the times. It’s a great time because there’re so many whack jobs for us to go after. The lunatic fringe is alive and well from the right to the left. There’s never a shortage of material.”

In the face of parental criticism, Cosmopolitan is standing behind Lea Michele and its latest cover shot.
A few days after the Glee star posed in a low cut dress for the publication, Fox News spoke to a handful of mothers who (somehow) criticized the magazine and the actress for showing poor taste.
Now, editors have released a simple statement that reads: We're thrilled to feature Lea Michele on the March cover of Cosmopolitan magazine and think she looks stunning. Michele is a grown woman and Cosmopolitan is a magazine for adults.
That does pretty much sum it up. Michele is 24 years old, after all. Perhaps parents can use this as an opportunity to explain the differences between fictional characters and real life.

The offending image features Michele, a Broadway alum, in a low-cut black dress with a tagline that reads: “‘Glee’s’ Good Girl Has Some Naughty Secrets.” “Scandalous,” cries which New York mom Kim Trefcer, who believes the somewhat saucy image “confused and offended” her preteen son, a devoted Gleek.

“I think Lea Michele is sending the wrong message. She plays such a ‘good girl’ on ‘Glee’ and a lot of kids look up to her persona. Then she poses very provocatively on two magazine covers which makes my almost-13-year-old son very confused and offended,” Trefcer told FOX News shortly after Lea’s Cosmo cover hit newsstands last week. “I find it frustrating as a parent who is trying to teach right from wrong to their kids and then you have things like this happen which is showing middle schoolers things like sex sells and all that goes along with that.”
The remarks stirred a splash on the Interwebs over the weekend, prompting Cosmo editors to leap to Lea’s defense in a brief statement issued Monday.
“We’re thrilled to feature Lea Michele on the March cover of Cosmopolitan magazine and think she looks stunning. Michele is a grown woman and Cosmopolitan is a magazine is for adults. Enough said,” a spokesperson for the mag remarked.
As you devoted Gleekers out there will likely recall, Lea set off a similar firestorm when she and co-stars Dianna Agron and Cory Monteith posed for GQ’s Oct. 2010 edition in their underwear. The blogosphere went wild with fans of the Emmy-winning show both defending and condemning the actors. Media watchdog group the Parents Television Council branded the images “borderline pedophilia.”

Lady Gaga’s hotly-anticipated single “Born This Way” will hit the airwaves for the first time on Friday.
One of the most highly-anticipated songs of the year is coming two days ahead of schedule, Gaga Tweeted early Monday. The single — the title track from Gaga’s forthcoming album — was originally slated to premiere during the singer’s performance at this Sunday’s 2011 Grammy Awards. But by popular demand, the award-winning singer has opted to debut the tune a little early, allowing the single to be played on radio during peak listening hours in the days before music’s biggest night.
Gaga dominated Twitter searches for several hours after she unveiled the lyrics to “Born This Way” on the popular social networking website last month.
Born This Way drops this May.

Park it, Russell! Comedian Russell Brand has been sidelined by his new grandmother-in-law, who will be wife Katy Perry’s plus one at this weekend’s 53rd Annual Grammy Awards.

Reps for Beckham, 36, deny it, but we hear the singer-turned-designer, who is reportedly expecting a baby girl with husband David this summer, has been approached about following in the footsteps of actress Demi Moore, singing star Britney Spears, and more recently model Miranda Kerr, by stripping off for a nude pregnancy photo spread that will appear on the pages of an upcoming issue of Vogue.
Moore, 48, began the Nude Baby Bump Trend back in 1991, when she famously posed nude for Vanity Fair Magazine at seven months pregnant with her now 19-year-old daughter, Scout.
“Knowing Victoria, she’ll do something completely unique. There’s a real buzz going around about it,” a Vogue mole reportedly yapped to Britain’s Daily Star on Tuesday.
“Anna’s apparently really keen on it. Everyone’s expecting it to fly off the shelves.
