A woman moves around a darkened room. Surrounded by a facetted wall of mirrors, her body is reflected, fragmented and duplicated in a series of evocative, kaleidoscopic images. The surrounding space, resembling the hall of mirrors in a dressingroom, is actually a room-sized replica of the limited edition ABSOLUT MODE bottle, which will be released in time for this year’s holiday season.

Sharif Hamza, who is one of the most sought-after fashion photographers of today, shot the carefully composed images. Working both in print media and moving images, Hamza is known for his darkly sensual, crystalline work. He works for clients such as Vogue Paris, Vogue Russia, LOVE, Dazed & Confused and Interview.

The ABSOLUT MODE shoot was a collaboration between Hamza, stylist Veronique Didry and model Shannan Click, who posed behind one-way mirrors. While Sharif Hamza and the crew could watch and photograph through the glass, the model could only see her own reflection in the surrounding mirror panes.

So it's the ultimate irony that her new fragrance ad, the Burberry Body campaign which will continue to catapult her already-rising star, finds her removing a trench coat till she's wearing almost nothing at all. "This particular trench was amazing because it was silk and just felt amazing on the skin," the British model tells us. "I think that one had a sort of mink lining... which was really sexy," she adds, laughing.
Alas, for the sexy commercial, Huntington-Whiteley had to take it off -- almost entirely. "There are certain tricks," she laughs, explaining how she manages to undo the coat, roll around and somehow never reveal more than a generous hint of skin.
The ability to pose nearly naked with confidence is something Huntington-Whiteley learned from years modeling, including her turn as a Victoria's Secret Angel. She was less familiar, however, with acting, something she needed to learn quick as the female lead of this summer's "Transformers 3."
"Well I didn't have much time [to prepare]," she tells us about making the action flick. "It was like, from the moment I was asked to be in the film to my first day on set was about two weeks. So I didn't really have much preparation time, and there wasn't a finished script for me."
She added, "Physically it's very demanding -- you know you're running for like days and days on end, and you get bruises and cuts and scrapes and you fall and you get up." (When asked whether she would do it all again for a possible "Transformers 4," Rosie replies, "Absolutely.")

Her new gig, thankfully, requires no falling, no running and certainly no bruising. As the face for Burberry's Body perfume, Huntington-Whiteley rolls around seductively in the aforementioned silk-and-mink trench coat, selling the shiny new fragrance for the British fashion house.
She also sold it last night at Macy's in Herald Square, where she greeted about 300 fans on the main fragrance selling floor (wearing more than she wears in the commercial, but not by much). Last night's posing was easy, as it barely compared to the giant press tour she and Shia Labeouf endured for "Transformers 3."
It was on that long tour around the world, at photo calls and red carpets, that we saw Rosie wear an array of stunning dresses. Her favorite? Her gown for the movie's UK premiere in London, for which Burberry's creative director Christopher Bailey custom-designed her dress. "I said I want a Michelle Pfeiffer, 'Scar Face' dress," Rosie laughed. In the result, she said, "I felt like a million dollars."
The only thing that could have possibly made it better, perhaps, would have been a guest-appearance by a royal -- one in particular. "I'm waiting for my proposal [from Prince Harry]," Rosie told Regis Philbin on Live! with Regis and Kelly, admitting to a giant crush.
But has she seen him dance? How could she be attracted to those lame moves?
"I love a bad dancer!" laughs Rosie. "Most British men are bad dancers."

Details remain sparse, but the actress told E! News at last night's PopChips's Playland party for Fashion's Night Out: "We're still figuring it out, but it's definitely in the works!"

In what direction do Vanessa's fashion tastes lean? "Street chic, bohemian and wearable," she said.

Of course, it's nice just to see Hudgens wearing any clothing at all. She's definitely come a long way since a couple of unfortunate incidents that didn't involve anything wearable.

Paul McCartney, Nancy Shevell to Wed Next Month?:

Paul McCartney will wed fiancée Nancy Shevell at the same venue he married late wife Linda - Old Marylebone Town Hall, in London - it was revealed Friday.


The pair have posted a notice that they intend to get married there.


Earlier this week, the couple met with Superintendent Registrar Alison Cathcart, and the official notice - sometimes called banns - was made on Wednesday.

The actual wedding date has not been announced, but they may tie the knot as early as September 30, and there has been speculation they will wed in October.


Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell have been together since mid-2007.


The Beatles legend was married to the former Linda Eastman from 1969 until her death in 1998, then to Heather Mills in 2002 until their separation in 2006.

Lady Gaga's first video for "You and I" was a breath of fresh air: stripped down, straight hair blowing in the wind, in a simple silk slip, Gaga was au naturel and a pleasure to watch.



So of course for her second installment of the five-part video series, called "HAUS OF Ü ft. BRIDE," the performer was back to her Gaga ways, clutching her naked chest, covered in metal wires and making unpleasant faces at the camera.



Although her bare top make sit pretty clear for all to see that she's a woman, Lady Gaga seems to be channeling her male alter ago, Jo Calderone (you know, the cigarette-smoking, thick-accented guy who attended the 2011 VMAs on Gaga's behalf), with her wide black pants and jacket.



Shot by fashion photographers Inez and Vinoodh, the video is very Gaga, save for the song which always reminds us of something we'd hear performed at the Academy of Country Music Awards.

When Yigal Azrouël opens his first Cut25 store in Soho this spring, it will be awash with Technicolor. The designer, an avid wave rider himself, reaped inspiration from eighties surf culture for his diffusion line this season. As the 25 models made their Cedar Lake-choreographed movements within a designated square space, they showed off clean-cut pieces in electric tangerine and yellow, tamed down by more neutral shades of army green and black. The bright colors even extended to the shoes—the designer paired up with Frye to create poppy lambskin lace-up ankle boots and pink lambskin clogs—and the custom jewelry by Holst + Lee. The look is familiar—both athletic chic and neon bright clothes have popped up repeatedly throughout the week—but his “modern eighties” clothes are wearable. Azrouël devotees are likely to flock to the basic silk sleeveless tanks and dresses and the jet lambskin pieces. Caution: The citrus orange maxi is not built for the board.

London is a hotbed of young talent in fashion, and the city is known for supporting the young, the wild, and the penniless like few other fashion capitals. Just in time for London fashion week, Style.com checked in with three of the city’s most exciting emerging designers. Today, meet Phoebe English.

London learned of Phoebe English, 25, last season when she debuted her first collection of gothic black rubber and faux-hair goddess dresses down the Central Saint Martins M.A. catwalk. After winning the prestigious L’Oréal Professionel Creative Award, English graduated from the classroom to her own cozy white-walled studio in East London. While the designer has been one of the most talked-about new talents of the year, she nearly didn’t pursue fashion. “For a long time, I couldn’t decide between fashion and acting,” she says. “I spent a summer auditioning at drama schools across Britain and didn’t get into any of them, so I did a course at Saint Martins to see what it was like and never looked back.”

Judging by her Spring collection, English made the right choice. This season, the designer was inspired by the raw surroundings of her new studio, as well as her walk to work. “I walk here every day and that clumpy walking movement is really an inspiration for some of the shapes,” explains English. In an attempt to move away from what she describes as the “frenetic” fluidity of her last collection, which primarily featured eveningwear, English turns her focus to organic separates crafted out of tightly pleated, destroyed canvas. Having a background in knitwear, English’s Spring ‘12 (mostly black) collection marks her first time using fabric rather than materials. In addition to her first show, English’s M.A. collection will be included in British-ish, a Giles Deacon-curated exhibition that runs throughout fashion week at London’s Victoria and Albert Museum.

Hollywood sends the fashion world plenty of pretty envoys. See: Kate Bosworth. But for all the popularity the fetching L.A. native enjoys among the frock-makers, a lot of moviegoers still know of her as the surfer babe from Blue Crush.

With Straw Dogs, the designer darling is hoping to ride a new wave. Bosworth plays a struggling actress who moves back to her hometown in Mississippi with her husband (James Marsden), where she strikes up an uneasy reacquaintance with an old flame (Alexander Skarsgard). Like the 1971 Sam Peckinpah film it’s based on, Straw Dogs unfolds in an atmosphere of sex-inflected menace; it also contains a pivotal rape scene, which has been the focus of most of the buzz around the remake.

“A lot of people ask me about the rape scene, which was sort of challenging,” Bosworth explained at last night’s Tribeca Grand premiere. “But what was equally challenging was tracking the tension that the characters are going through.”

Bosworth also helped put together her character’s wardrobe, and it seems her stylish sensibility was a hit with the suits. According to director Rod Lurie, “The head of the studio, Clint Culpepper, is also a big fashionista.”
