The Most Outrageous Looks From New York Fashion Week Fall 2014 (PHOTOS)

The Most Outrageous Looks From New York Fashion Week Fall 2014 (PHOTOS): We totally understand that many of the looks that come down the runway during New York Fashion Week are meant to be aspirational -- but some are just downright outrageous.

Of course the "Star Wars" dresses at Rodarte signify that kitsch is going to be big for fall, but what about those face cages at Alon Livne? What trend is that alluding to? We love fashion, but things are starting to get too wacky.

Check out the eight most outrageous looks from New York Fashion Week Fall 2014 below. We hope to God that we don't see any of these on the street come September.

Emilia Clarke Is Gorgeous, Demure In Vs. Magazine

Emilia Clarke Is Gorgeous, Demure In Vs. Magazine: For those of us who watch "Game Of Thrones," Emilia Clarke is kiiind of a big deal. After all, she is the mother of dragons. Everyone else can still recognize her as a phenomenal actress and a naturally beautiful person, too.

Now, from the looks of her interview with Vs. Magazine, Queen Khaleesi also has a solid sense of humor. Clarke is one of the cover stars for the biannual publication, and she sat down with the mag to discuss her foray into film (she's starring in the upcoming "Terminator" reboot), what it's like to play one of the biggest badasses in television and how she feels about landing on numerous "hottest women" lists:

"Those lists are, of course, appreciated but the best way to think about them is to take them as a good laugh and hope that people will realize I'm not desirable."

We're not so sure we agree about the whole "not desirable" thing, but it is refreshing to see a star with a bit of modesty.

Take a look at the cover and some of the gorgeous photos (those BROWS!) below. Click here to see the whole fashion spread, and to read the entire interview, head over to Vs. Magazine.

Ralph Lauren's Fall 2014 Collection Has Something For Everyone (Literally)

Ralph Lauren's Fall 2014 Collection Has Something For Everyone (Literally): You can't look through Ralph Lauren's 2014 fall collection and not find one outfit you love -- there really is something for everybody.

The show was split into two distinct parts: Lauren began with bright neon pieces and Navajo-inspired frocks from his Polo Ralph Lauren line, and then he dove into more sophisticated territory for Ralph Lauren Collection. For Collection, he showed lots of white knit sweaters and soft pink and grey gowns -- a stark contrast to the fun, more youthful outfits he opened with.

So, why not have two totally separate shows à la Marc Jacobs and Marc by Marc Jacobs? According to Ralph, he "love[s] the contrast of Polo's cool eclectic spirit with the luxury and modern glamour of Collection."

Our favorite look, an all white Collection number, came towards the middle of the show. And no, Karlie Kloss' smize wasn't the reason we chose this ensemble. (Okay, maybe it was one of the reasons.) The cream cashmere trench coat felt so soft and pretty for fall, and the silk bouclé fabric of the turtleneck made this covered-up garment incredibly sexy. Karlie's crocodile purse added nice texture, as did her suede hi-top sneakers and fuzzy beanie. Sure, had Kloss been wearing this outfit today, she would have blended into the blizzard-like New York City conditions. But on the runway, it was perfection.

Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Cover 2014: Chrissy Teigen, Lily Aldridge AND Nina Agdal Strip Down!

Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Cover 2014: Chrissy Teigen, Lily Aldridge AND Nina Agdal Strip Down!: This year's Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue has finally been revealed -- and there is not one, not two, but THREE cover girls! The stars of the highly anticipated 50th anniversary issue will also be announced on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" Thursday night.

The cover, which the magazine is calling "the happiest cover in swimsuit history," features Chrissy Teigen, Lily Aldridge and Nina Agdal scantily clad in just neon bikini bottoms. The very fitting theme of the 50th anniversary issue is "Past, Present and Future." People Magazine reports that a trio has not appeared on the cover since 1994.

Teigen, who made her debut in 2010 as "Rookie of The Year" is the veteran of the group, with Agdal following two years later and Aldridge making her first appearance this year. Covering the Swimsuit Issue can catapult a model's career -- and has a long-standing reputation for empowering the women who appear in the issue. Teigen has been known to praise them for their minimal use of Photoshop. Add that to the fact that the three women look absolutely gorgeous, and it's really no surprise they were chosen as a trio.

The models join a long list of beautiful women (Christie Brinkley and Tyra Banks, to name a few) who have had the honor of covering the magazine, and it's completely well deserved. We'll have to wait until Feb. 18 to see the entire spread, but for now, take a look at the cover below and on the Sports Illustrated Swim Daily blog and let us know what you think!

Only Kate Middleton's Dress Is Blue On Valentine's Day

Only Kate Middleton's Dress Is Blue On Valentine's Day: Now that's the Duchess we're used to seeing.

Kate Middleton stepped out Friday morning in a figure-hugging blue LK Bennett dress that retails for $395, which as expected, is already selling out. Quite a drastic change from the glamorous look of her first appearance of 2014, no?

Dressed in her signature color blue, Kate looks radiant and appears to be having a great time as she makes her way into the opening of the ICAP Art Room in London.

Perhaps this means we'll get at least a few more moderately-priced dress sightings before her "royal makeover."

Now we just want to know, what's so funny, Kate??

The 8 Looks We Editors Want From New York Fashion Week Fall 2014 (PHOTOS)

The 8 Looks We Editors Want From New York Fashion Week Fall 2014 (PHOTOS): Come the end of New York Fashion Week, we editors have probably seen hundreds of runway images. Some we wish we could forget, while others that will remain permanently burned into our brains.

When it's all said and done, there are usually quite a few looks that we're lusting after. But there is always that one particular outfit that we'll dream of night after night. Check out the one look from Fashion Week that we editors can't live without -- though we may have to. Proenza Schouler and Rodarte don't come cheap!

Delpozo, Fall 2014

"I'm obsessed with coats and this one is about as good as it gets. First of all, it's as large as a blanket, which means it will be warm enough for New York City winters. Second of all, it's plaid. And lastly, you'll never lose this baby at coat check." --Michelle Persad, Fashion Editor

Rodarte, Fall 2014

luke

"Luke Skywalker on a dress. I repeat: Luke Skywalker on a dress. This is pretty much my childhood dream come true. Plus, Rodarte wasn't just being playful, the cut of the dress and mixing of fabrics and textures is absolutely stunning. Only the Mulleavy sisters... " -- Rebecca Adams, Lifestyle Editor

Marissa Webb, Fall 2014

web

"This tangerine orange number from Marissa Webb's Fall 2014 collection is bold and bright, two of the things that qualifies as a look I'd rock. While the billowy skirt is more loose than anything I would normally wear, I love how it balances the close cropped sweater. And the matching orange shoes just completes the outfit. Put me in this and I'd OWN it." -- Dana Oliver, Senior Beauty Editor

Karen Walker, Fall 2014

"I'm all about jumpers coming back, and I love how this bright red one looks futuristic yet minimal. The front zipper adds a unique touch and I like how it's paired over a simple turtleneck long-sleeved black shirt. It's a great way to make a jumper work for the colder months. And did I mention the shoes and purse?! I need both of those classic black staples in my life right now." -- Renee Jacques, Associate Viral Editor

Reed Krakoff, Fall 2014

reed

"This winter, the desire to be fashionable has been overtaken by a burning need to be cozy and warm every day. Miraculously, this outfit would accomplish both objectives easily. Reed Krakoff had me at sweatshirts." -- Ellie Krupnick, Senior Viral Content and Strategy Editor

Elizabeth And James, Fall 2014

liz

"This Elizabeth and James look is my favorite because of my love for Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen. (Okay, among other things, too.) The black tailored suit with cuffed pants and the low-cut blazer is perfection. Not only are these my two favorite colors to wear, but this outfit looks sleek and professional." --Megan Mayer, Associate Style Editor

Proenza Schouler, Fall 2014

proenza

"I'm a sucker for mixed prints and Proenza Schouler nailed it with this look. I love the color combo. The skirt is a perfect length to offset the boxy jacket and those pointed flat creepers are calling out to me, saying: "Please wear us. We are comfortable, pointy and fantastic." --Jamie Feldman, Style Fellow

Charlotte Ronson, Fall 2014

char

"I'm obsessed with the vibe of Charlotte Ronson's fall collection, it has this dark romance to it that I'm really into right now. The floral pattern in combination with the tea-length hemline makes this a versatile look -- I could dress it up with some strappy heels or make it casual with a rad pair of Doc Martens." --Chanel Parks, Style Fellow

Beyonce Really Knows How To Rock A Crop Top

Beyonce Really Knows How To Rock A Crop Top: Beyonce somehow manages to wear the ubiquitous crop top like no one else can.

The stunner posted a bunch of new photos to herself to Tumblr, in which she's dressed in a metallic crop top. She set it off with a matching miniskirt, a white fur jacket, a milkmaid braid in her hair and a chain around her midriff. The look might not be the easiest one to pull off, but the "Drunk In Love" singer looked nothing short of fabulous.

The snapshots were apparently taken at Solange's MSQFT x SaintHeron New York Fashion Week party. In the pics, Beyonce is dancing with a bottle of champagne in her hand.

Lorde's Fierce Curls Take Over V Magazine's 'Music Issue' Cover

Lorde's Fierce Curls Take Over V Magazine's 'Music Issue' Cover: Lorde has proven her awesomeness once again. This time, on the cover of V Magazine.

The soulful singer has quickly become the music industry's "It" girl, so it was only a matter of time before the fashion world hopped on board, too. From her interesting choice of nail polish at the 2014 Grammy Awards to the makeup-free selfie that proved she's just as much a natural beauty as she is a talented singer, the 19-year-old New Zealand native has certainly mastered a fiercely unique signature look.

Now, the singer takes her beauty to new heights on the cover of V's Music Issue, looking absolutely gorgeous in a Chanel dress, David Yurman jewels and larger than life hair. The cover, which was styled by Carleyne, has four different versions, each featuring a different musical acts.

lorde v magazine

Inside the mag, the singer talks everything, from her affinity for an older crowd to her fear of "Lorde overload." The most notable part of the interview, however, was her response to criticism about the hypocrisy of the song "Royals," now that the lyrics no longer reflect what her life is actually like. She explains:

“You’re right, it is at odds with what I write about, and the reality of my life until a few months ago. But when I go home, I still do all the stuff I used to do. I dunno... part of me feels like it’s weird to just get sucked into that world.”

Sounds to us like she has a good handle on her fame, even if she has, at this point, become somewhat of a "royal" in the industry.

Check out all the beautiful covers below, and for all the full interviews, head over to V Magazine.

Taylor Swift Channels Her Inner Ballerina In Pleated Nude Skirt

Taylor Swift Channels Her Inner Ballerina In Pleated Nude Skirt: Taylor Swift was spotted leaving dance class on Friday (Feb. 14) in a simple black top and dainty, pleated, high-waisted nude skirt.

Judging by the outfit, she might be inspired by some of the ballerinas at the studio.

Her signature red lipstick is just the right amount of festive for Valentine's Day, which either is or isn't Swift's favorite holiday.

This Week's Best Dressed List Proves The Power Of Simplicity (PHOTOS, VIDEO)

This Week's Best Dressed List Proves The Power Of Simplicity (PHOTOS, VIDEO): If you're ever in doubt about style, just keep one rule in mind: Keep it simple. You'll never go wrong with classics like an A-line dress, skinny jeans and lace. But remember, understated isn't always synonymous with "boring." Here, five stars show us how they put a spin on simplicity to memorable effect.

Alexa Chung

alexa chung

Here's all the proof you need that skinny jeans can work in pretty much any situation. However, it's the holographic topper that brings an edge (and warmth) to the look.

Estelle

estelle

Black lace can also take you anywhere -- from day to night, from (lenient) workplace to a date. Estelle adds an unexpected note with a statement collar and a ribbon belt.

Jamie Chung

jamie chung

We'll admit it... midriff tops are hard to wear. But if you do try one out, go with Chung's approach: Pair the midriff with a higher-waist, long skirt. It will make you feel less "exposed" and gives a sophisticated spin.

Bella Thorne

bella thorne

There's a reason why every stylist recommends an A-line dress: It works for any age and figure. Here, Thorne stuns in a pink version that's so gorgeous, the actress needs no additional accessory (other than a fabulous smile, of course). Our takeaway? Blue-based pinks look incredible on redheads.

Cate Blanchett

cate blanchett

Metallics are tricky, but not if you're Cate Blanchett. The hue acts like a spotlight on the gorgeous actress, who looks radiant in the simple cocktail dress.
