Lady Gaga Closes Roseland Ballroom: Following Lady Gaga's sold out concert at Roseland Ballroom, the legendary New York City venue shut its doors for the last time on April 7.

The final show was available to watch via live stream, but Gaga had been performing at Roseland for seven straight nights as part of the venue's final goodbye, which she called "a 10-day funeral."

Located near Times Square on West 52nd Street, Roseland Ballroom opened in its current location in 1956, but had been around in some capacity since 1919. Since then, it has been a staple for famous (and almost famous) rock stars passing through New York. Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Madonna, Bob Dylan, Beyonce, The Rolling Stones, Radiohead and so many more acts played on the iconic stage to capacity crowds.

News that the venue would close due to financial burdens leaked in October of last year, according to the Village Voice. But on its last night, Gaga unleashed a party of little monster-sized proportions:

Peter Som Talks His New Kohl's Collection, St. Barths And How He Always Has FLOTUS In Mind: When we think of Peter Som, we immediately think of beautiful, elegant clothing and admittedly, Michelle Obama. And when we think about Michelle Obama, well, we squeal with excitement. So needless to say, we were thrilled when we found out that Som was designing a reasonably priced collection for Kohl's DesignNation line.

We did, however, have some reservations. Would the lower price-point have a negative effect on the look of the items? Would the luxurious aesthetic translate in the mass market? Luckily, all of our concerns were squashed as soon as we got to take a look for ourselves and chat with the designer.

Citing St. Barths as the inspiration for this beachy collection, Som revealed there were "no challenges working at a lower price point," adding that offering his designs to the masses is "the most exciting part." When asked what it is about that exact location that inspires him, Som said "St. Barths specifically has the perfect combination of French chic with that island, laid-back feel, and I wanted to capture that idea for women everywhere."

His impressive design career includes more than a slew of collections. Som is a two-time nominee for the Perry Ellis Award for Emerging Talent and of course, has plenty of experience dressing celebrities like FLOTUS. "Michelle Obama is not only an amazing, accomplished woman who is doing wonderful things, she also has a great sense of personal style. She is really dressing the way modern women dress, mixing high and low -- really having fun with it," he said of the First lady.

So, was she another source of inspo for the line? "It's funny. In every collection, there are a lot of dresses, and I always think in the back of my head, 'is this a Michelle Obama dress?'"

We can't blame him for thinking that, and we have to admit we can see her rocking one of the maxi dresses come summer.

Scarlett Johansson Crushes Our Paris Dreams In Glamour Mag: Scarlett Johansson is on a mission to make sneakers happen in Paris, and we couldn't be happier.

As the cover star of Glamour magazine's May 2014 issue, Johansson talked about life after her divorce from Ryan Reynolds, that infamous nickname and her approach to getting older (although 30 is hardly old in our book).

Johansson also gave some insight on the culture of her current home, Paris. On her style sense in France, she remarks on how the fashion crowd really does inspire what she wears on a daily basis:

The nice thing about being in Paris is that you know everybody's looking at what you're wearing: You have an audience, you know? New York is about street style that's functional. A Paris look is not functional! It doesn’t matter if your shoes are comfortable. Here [in New York] you can still wear your Nikes. In Paris you suck it up. You hobble around. Although my girlfriends in Paris and I decided we're adopting the trend of athletic streetwear 'cause we got sick of it. I was like, 'I am sick of not feeling my big toe after two hours of dancing!'
While we've always had this fantasy of looking lavish in Paris with nothing stopping us, we admire Johansson's honesty in making the statement that wearing heels everyday can sometimes be an unrealistic decision. And, we're with you girl, as we love our Nike and Converse sneakers too much to swap them out for pumps.

Why Paulina Gretzky's Golf Digest Cover Isn't Sitting So Well With Some LPGA Pros (PHOTO): Maxim model Paulina Gretzky doesn't play professional golf but she is engaged to PGA tour star Dustin Johnson and has two famous parents, hockey great Wayne Gretzky and actress Janet Jones Gretzky.
That apparently was enough for Golf Digest to put her on its cover. It was also enough to irk players on the LPGA Tour, the New York Times reports.
"We don’t get respect for being the golfers that we are," two-time major winner Stacy Lewis said, according to the paper. "Obviously, Golf Digest is trying to sell magazines. But at the same time you’d like to see a little respect for the women’s game."
Seven-time major winner Juli Inkster seemed to feel the same way. "It’s frustrating because it’s Golf Digest; it’s not Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit issue. I think they should maybe recognize some of the great women golfers that we have," she said, according to the Times.

Gretzky, who gained visibility by posting provocative selfies on social media, is not setting any precedent, USA Today notes. Kate Upton (who appeared with Arnold Palmer) and Golf Channel anchor Holly Sonders were the previous two women to grace the cover of the magazine. The last LPGA tour winner to make the cover was Lorena Ochoa in 2008.
"You know the old saying, sex sells," veteran pro Angela Stanford said, according to USA Today. "And nobody can argue with that. It's just the way it is. But the LPGA has some attractive women and very fit women, so why not use them? I'm just baffled by it."
Golf Digest Jerry Tarde defended the Gretzky cover in a statement, explaining that Gretzky, "ranks at the high end of the golf celebrity scene" and could attract new readers.
The article about Gretzky, who tells the magazine she once missed the ball in front of 30 people while playing in her dad's tournament, features the model doing golf-improvement exercises. The issue hits newsstands April 15.

Emma Watson Scores Another Style Win In Saint Laurent: Emma Watson has been on quite a fashionable roll recently.

The "Noah" star stepped out for a taping of the “Late Night Show With David Letterman” on Tuesday wearing a trend made amazingly recognizable by Ellen DeGeneres and just plain stunning by Angelina Jolie -- a Saint Laurent suit.

Watson chose a more tailored look for the show, with a cropped pant and her shirt buttoned all the way up. She finished off the look with a sleek (albeit a bit windblown) updo, red lipstick and simple black, pointed-toe pumps, proving that this trend can look absolutely gorgeous no matter how you style it.

The appearance comes after a slew of red carpet wins for the actress, and we can't wait to see what else she steps out in as the press for her upcoming film continues.

Jessica Pare Strips Down For Esquire, With 'Mad Men' Season 7 Premiere Just Weeks Away: "Mad Men" fans have to wait just 18 more days until the Season 7 premiere of the critically acclaimed drama, but if actress Jessica Pare is your favorite part of the show, you needn't wait any longer.

The 33-year-old is taking it all off for the April 2014 issue of Esquire magazine. The Montreal-born actress looks gorgeous and carefree as she strips down for a skinny dip in the backyard pool at a home in the Hollywood Hills, before satisfying a craving for peanut butter while still in her lingerie, of course.

Pare flashes her megawatt smile in nearly every photo because, these days, life is good. But like the majority of the thousands who try to make it in Hollywood, life didn't always entail photo shoots with Esquire and hit shows on AMC.

"I really struggled," she said. As a Canadian, Pare dealt with visa issues and needed an employer to sponsor her, which meant only being able to go out for big roles, which really isn't realistic for a young actress starting out.

She says she hit a snag again in the green card application process, which would have solved the sponsorship problem; Instead of taking three months it took nine. Frustrated with the fact that any attention she'd previously gained had dissipated, Pare was ready to give up before she auditioned to be a secretary on "Mad Men."

"I had nothing left to lose," she said. "I went into the audition thinking, 'This is it. If you don't like it, that's fine. Nobody else has.'"

Needless to say, they liked it.

Woman Finds Her Stolen Facebook Photos In Prostitution Ads (VIDEO): Dallas Miller is not a prostitute -- but you would certainly have thought otherwise if you'd seen this suggestive ad online over the weekend:

Miller, 21, told ABC affiliate WKRN.com that she absolutely did not create or post that ad on the Web. Instead, she says almost a dozen of her photographs were stolen off her Facebook page and used in prostitution advertisements on the free ad-listing site Backpage.com.

"It's been tough," Miller, who lives in Whites Creek, Tenn., told the news outlet of the experience. "I definitely feel victimized."

Backpage.com has reportedly pulled the ads off its site.

After Miller's story made headlines this week, netizens stepped forward to offer support for the young woman.

Others pointed out how Miller's experience should be a wake-up call to anyone who doesn't takes their online security seriously.

"Protect your FB pics," Trinidadian TV anchor Samantha John tweeted Thursday. "This just goes to show that your face can end up anywhere."

The FBI warns all social media users to always use "high security settings on social networking sites, and be very limited in the personal information you share." For more tips on how to protect yourself online, go to the FBI's website (here).

Taylor Swift Wears Skinny Jeans And Boots While Strolling In NYC: Dressed in skinny jeans and boots with headphones on, Taylor Swift could almost pass for a regular 20-something.

Swift looked casually fashionable when she hit the streets of New York City Thursday, March 27, dressed in burgundy jeans, ankle boots and a camel peacoat. She topped off her outfit with fingerless gloves, a green plaid scarf and some red lipstick for her day out in the Big Apple.

Of course there is nothing "regular" about the multi-platinum superstar. She was followed by a hoard of paparazzi scrambling for her photo as she indulged in some shopping at Steven Alan.

The 41-year-old actress wows in a sexy pool photo shoot for the magazine, rocking various bathing suits, including a navy bikini.

In the mag, Diaz opens up about fame and whether or not Hollywood has adjusted the way she sees herself. "I have very little vanity -- but at the same time I’m incredibly vain," "The Body Book' author explained to Glamour UK. "If I see a bad picture of myself in a magazine, I don’t give a shit. I’m, like, whatever. But it’s a funny thing being out in the world in the way that I am. You really have to keep yourself in check because it’s easy to lose your head."
