These Food-Inspired Princess Dresses Are Delicious Works Of Art:

Olivia Mears is the Taco Belle of the ball. 
In 2015, Mears, a costume designer who lives just outside of Asheville, North Carolina, went viral after creating a Taco Belle dress ― basically a “Beauty and the Beast”-style gown with a skirt full of tacos.

The dress, made of fabric, cardstock, tissue paper and felt, took roughly 30 hours to create.  


Since then she’s created other food-inspired gowns including:

"I was in a 2015 Taco Bell commercial wearing a dress I made from wrappers and sauce packets," Mears said. 


It all started in 2012 when a photo of Mears wearing a Belle dress at a Taco Bell restaurant was posted on Reddit and went viral, earning her the moniker of Taco Belle. 
“While in college, I spent summers as a ‘professional princess’ where
I’d make appearances at children’s parties dressed up, with gifts, and would sing and take pictures,” she told HuffPost. “One of those days I decided to get fast food on the way home and stopped at Taco Bell while dressed as Belle. A picture of that ended up on the front page of Reddit and I decided I
needed to make an actual ‘Taco Belle’ dress.”
Mears recently won Domino’s “Piece of the Pie” contest for her “Pizzarella” design. 
“After seeing how much everyone enjoyed the pizza dress, I have many more food-themed costumes planned!” she told HuffPost.

Although the shoes, jewelry and lack of stroller help set the new look apart, it’s really all about switching one elaborate hat for a bigger, fancier hat.

Last week, Rihanna graced the red carpet for the Los Angeles premiere of Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets in a show-stopping pink Giambattista Valli dress that instantly got the internet talking. And now she's continuing her streak by wearing another incredible dress by the same designer, this time for the London premiere of the sci-fi movie.

Rihanna — who plays Bubble, a shape-shifting alien known as a "glampod" in the new film — took the off-the-shoulder trend to the extreme in the red gown that featured a low-cut neckline and a high empire waist. From under her bust to the train trailing behind her, the bright dress seemed to expand forever, giving us major Little Red Riding Hood vibes. Somehow, the voluminous shape managed to outdo another Rihanna outfit, when she wore what looked like a white bed sheet in Cannes. (It was a Dior gown, naturally.)

The singer doubled down on the bold color of the gown in every way, settling on a completely monochromatic look. Her earrings, eyeshadow, lipstick, clutch, jewelry, and heels were all the same hue — a trend that Bad Gal Riri has been experimenting with recently.

Clearly, Rihanna is the queen of fashion, despite looking like a princess these days. Take a look at some of her slay-worthy moments from the premiere, below.
