Speaking of supermodels, Cindy Crawford told ES Magazine that the heyday she and fellow supermodels  Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington enjoyed is over. She says it’s harder today for models to get magazine covers or major cosmetics contracts, which is where the money is. Though it’s no secret that many of those jobs have been going to actresses and singers for a few decades now, the success of models like Cara Delevingne and Karlie Kloss and the resurgence of models on major magazine covers like Vogue and Wmay be signs that another heyday on its way. {Evening Standard}

Despite setbacks and challenges here in the U.S., Avon is enjoying a major sales spike in Russia thanks to a 10 percent increase in door-to-door sales people joining the cosmetics brand. The reason for the surge: the decreased value of the the ruble, Russia’s form of currency, which has forced many Russians to seek additional sources of income. The brand has even found a way to protect itself against the country’s economic recession by creating an inexpensive “anti-crisis consumer basket.” {Business of Fashion}

Somewhere between the Golden Globes and Goop, Gwenyth Paltrow found time to remind us that she is hilarious and a good singer and...not immune to fashion mistakes. The actress stopped by “The Tonight Show” Wednesday to turn rap songs by Nicki Minaj, Drake and Big Sean into Broadway show tunes with help from Jimmy Fallon on the piano. The performance was almost good enough to distract us from the awkward Elie Saab jumpsuit she wore. Watch the clip:
