Modelinia AM Reads: Six-Degrees of Cara Delevingne

Modelinia AM Reads: Six-Degrees of Cara Delevingne:

Here’s another reason to love Chrissy Teigen.  The model appeared on the Meredith Vieira show this week to explain what drove her to post the now viral image of her stretch marks. ”I was actually just taking a picture of the bruises [I got] and then I saw the stretch marks in there,” she told Vieira. “I have those apps, the Facetune and Photoshopping ones, and I just didn’t feel like doing it anymore—and I’m never doing it again, because I think we forget what normal people look like now.” Preach. ~ Page Six

Not in love with the Apple Watch wrist bands? A host of third-party brands have popped up to offer customers something a little more individualized than Apple’s own bands. Some companies, like Casetify, will even let you print your own images from Instagram, Facebook or your photo collection directly onto the strap for a cool $50. ~ Fashionista

The New York Times‘ Vanessa Friedman interviewed a panel of the power players who help fuel the red carpet industry at the Savannah College of Art and Design’s annual SCADstyle presentation series this week. What they had to divulge was a candid, eye-opening look into just how much money and power gets passed around in the few paces it takes a celeb to walk from their car to the entrance. ~ Refinery29

Leading up to the May opening of “China: Through the Looking Glass” at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Vogue has a first look at the dresses that will be on display, including breathtaking styles from Roberto Cavalli, Tom Ford, Jean Paul Gaultier and Alexander McQueen among others. ~ Vogue

Alexa Chung has had a lot of jobs in recent years — model, TV host, author, designer — and now thanks to Paper magazine, she add photographer to the list.  In her first published feature behind the camera, she captures intimate images of her famous friends from around the world.  Among our favorites is a close-up shot of Cara Delevingne sporting what else, a goofy face. ~ Paper magazine

These days, Cara Delevingne seems to be friends with just about everyone and their mothers, a phenomenon that we can only assume will continue to flourish as she dives deeper and deeper into the Hollywood acting scene. To demonstrate just how deep her popularity runs, we decided to bust out one of our favorite parlor games— “Six Degrees of Separation” — and attempted to connect Cara with four of the most random celebrities we could find.  Check out our examples here and feel free to come up with your own and share them with us onFacebook and Twitter. ~ Modelinia
