In news that will surprise absolutely no one, Charlie Sheen is going to rehab and his show — CBS’ Two and a Half Men — is going on hiatus.

Sheen was hospitalized early Thursday morning complaining of severe abdominal pains. This came after Charlie’s alleged cocaine binge — complete with escorts and pornstars — at his Los Angeles home just a few hours before.

“Due to Charlie Sheen’s decision to enter a rehabilitation center, CBS, Warner Bros. Television and executive producer Chuck Lorre are placing Two and a Half Men on production hiatus. We are profoundly concerned for his health and well-being, and support his decision,” the network said in a statement.

Sheen’s longtime publicist Stan Rosenfield released a statement Friday, championing the actor’s decision to seek help: “Charlie Sheen has voluntarily entered an undisclosed rehabilitation center today. He is most grateful to all who have expressed their concern.”

Sheen spent nearly a month in rehab last year after a Christmas Eve 2009 altercation with his now-estranged wife Brooke Mueller.
