Britney Spears Hosts Charity Auction For Friend’s Sick Son: "
Britney Spears is giving fans a chance to own the gown she wore in the 2010 ads for her Radiance fragrance in an effort to raise funds for a friend’s sick son.
The “Toxic” hitmaker is auctioning off the silver backless dress she donned for the perfume’s promotional posters in an eBay auction that will raise donations for The Matthew Van Daff Special Needs Trust.
So far, bidding has already exceeded $30,000!
“Such a great cause. Britney donated her dress from the Radiance ad to our friend David, who started a trust for his son with a brain injury. He put the dress up for auction and all proceeds will go to his son’s cause,” Spears assistant posted on the singer’s Facebook page last week.
Matthew was born with a brain injury after being starved of oxygen in the final days of pregnancy. The charity was set up to raise money for the tot’s treatment and proceeds raised from the sale will help his parents provide round-the-clock care for their son.
