To commemorate the Beatles 70th birthday all of John Lennon's solo albums are currently being re-mastered to hit shelves in early October to coincide with the singers birthday. Lennon who was shot dead outside his Manhattan apartment in December 1980 has sold in excess of 15 million albums and was responsible for 27 number one hits. Along with a team of competent engineers, Lennon's widow Yoko Ono has remastered eight of his albums and some new titles.
