Disney is introducing the new “Doc McStuffins” animated series on the 24-hour Disney Junior channel in 2012. The show is a series about six-year-old Dottie “Doc” McStuffins who communicates with and heals stuffed animals and toys out of her backyard clinic. The show highlights the importance of taking care of yourself and of others
The Hollywood Health and Society division of the USC Annenberg Norman Lear Center is set to serve as the health and medical consultant for the series, and will advice on core health issues that are relevant to young children and their families.
“Doc McStuffins” was created and will be executive produced by writer Chris Nee (“Little Bill”) and the show will be directed by Norton Virgien (“Rugrats”). The show is a production of the animation studio Brown Bag Films in association with the Disney Channel.
