Disney Channel “Lemonade Mouth” DVD Review

Disney Channel “Lemonade Mouth” DVD Review: "

Palco MP3 - Download Music Video Legally

Last night we watched the Disney Channel Original Movie “Lemonade Mouth,” which arrived recently on a 2-Disc DVD + Digital Copy collection. The DVD includes an exclusive extended music scene of “Livin’ on a High Wire” as well as a “Rock-Along” version of the movie so you can sing along with the lyrics that appear on the screen – so even if you tuned in for the premiere of the movie on the Disney Channel it’s definitely worth picking up a copy of the DVD.

“Lemonade Mouth” is a movie about five teens who meet in detention and realize that they are all musically inclined, enough to be able to start their own band, which they name Lemonade Mouth. The movie is based the book by Mark Peter Hughes.

The movie stars the following actors:

- Bridgit Mendler

- Adam Hicks

- Hayley Kiyoko

- Naomi Scott

- Blake Michael

- Nick Roux

- Chris Brochu

- Trisha Campbell-Martin

- Christopher McDonald

Now we didn’t read the book, so maybe when the novel was turned into a Disney Channel Original Movie some of the plot was lost along the way, but while we loved all of the characters, we had a hard time understanding why Hayley’s character Stella was so mad. We understood her passion and her desire to stand up to authority and create equality among the different intermural groups at school, but she just seemed to have a bit of a temper we just couldn’t get on board with. But we love Hayley as an actress and can’t wait to see what movies she’s in in the future!

Something that was really cool was that we knew right from the start which characters would end up together at the end, and we were happy with the way things worked out! If you saw the movie, could you tell which characters would date each other before you found out at the end?

If we had to compare “Lemonade Mouth” to other recent Disney Channel movies we would put it right up there with “Camp Rock” and “Camp Rock 2.” We could totally see Disney making a sequel of the movie, but we’re not sure that they left it open enough at the end to do that…What do you think would happen in a “Lemonade Mouth 2” sequel?

We highly recommend seeing “Lemonade Mouth” if you can! Be sure to share your review of the movie with us here after you watch it!
