Johnny Depp, who stars in Disney’s “Pirates Of The Caribbean” franchise, has been banned from promoting his new movie “The Rum Diary” on any of the Walt Disney Company’s networks, stations or affiliates. According to reports, Disney doesn’t want the release of “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” on Blu-ray and DVD to be overshadowed, but we also think it might have something to do with Disney being worried that the more Johnny promotes “The Rum Diary” the less parents will see him as a “family friendly” face and therefore won’t let “Pirates of the Caribbean” into their household.
