Being a queen is officially the best job ever. Not only do you get to wear sparkling crowns and gorgeous gowns, you get to celebrate your birthday twice -- and with a 41-gun salute.
Saturday's annual Trooping the Colour parade honored Queen Elizabeth's 87th birthday (which actually happened back on April 21). The ceremony, originally a way to prepare for battle, now serves as a traditional way to honor the monarch's birthday with regal bombast.
While the
Far more subdued in comparison to Thursday's leopard-print look, the duchess wore powder pink Alexander McQueen, accessorized with a matching hat perched at a jaunty angle. (Could this girly color be nod to her "d..." perhaps?)
