Film leaves it’s imprint across fashion just as fashion makes its mark on film. And since the costuming was arguably one of the best things about last year’s American Hustle, how could it not get just a few people obsessing about the plunging necklines and oversized sunglasses that were such a hallmark of the 1970s?

Daniela Rettore‘s Back to Seventies takes the authenticity of American Hustle’s costuming and drops it into the wearability of the modern day. Luigi Gaballo’s impeccable styling mixes all elements of the era, from cuts to colours to luxurious textures, all the while still weathered with contemporary sophistication. The same can be said for Pawel Solis’ update on the flicked-out retro mane, and Giovanni Iovine’s soft blue eyeshadow and thick bottom lashes.
