Beauty tutorials are big on YouTube — a search for "makeup tutorial" and "hair tutorial" yields more than 5 million videos. In this weekly series, we put a mix of popular and under-the-radar tutorials to the test and show you what's best.

The '60s was a great decade for eye makeup. Many of the coolest girls of the decade -- Twiggy, Edie Sedgwick, Brigitte Bardot, Jean Shrimpton -- were big on thick eyeliner, defined eyelid creases, and super dense upper and lower lashes.

Their eye makeup and fake lashes still look fresh and glamorous today. Paris-based makeup artist Sanni Mai shows us how to get the look in the Edie Sedgwick-inspired YouTube tutorial below. The result is perhaps not for everyday wear, but it makes for a good party face. Pair with statement earrings and volumized hair and you're good to go.
