It's no secret that Anthony Vaccarello, whose sexy namesake line is beloved by lithe Amazons everywhere, is a hot fashion commodity. Vaccarello was recently named the creative director of Versace offshoot Versus, and celebs ranging from Gwyneth Paltrow to J.Lo have worn his creations. Now his name is going to get even more recognition, thanks to a just-announced makeup collaboration with Lancôme.

The collection will roll out in Europe in October 2015, and stateside only at Net-a-Porter at an unspecified date later this year. While Lancôme has not yet unveiled details about the line, the company stated in a release that the designer will be "reinventing Lancôme makeup with an exceptional collection." For his part, Vaccarello said, “I was inspired by the Lancôme woman’s femininity and charisma – a special kind of elegance that’s never lifeless nor frozen. For me, Lancôme embodies the philosophy of understated beauty. It’s something quintessentially French.” If past Vaccarello runway beauty looks are anything to go by (his recent fall collection skewed pretty Versace and featured star-shaped eyeliner), it should be a fairly rich collection. He's not afraid of graphic eye looks and a statement lip.

Lancôme has been fairly savvy and selective about the brands with which it chooses ti collaborate. In the last few years, it's done limited edition collections with Proenza Schouler (a pink lipstick), Lanvin's Alber Elbaz, and for the past several seasons, Jason Wu. Anthony Vaccarello seems like a good fit.

Any predictions on whether body makeup will be included for all those hip bone-revealing looks?
