Warning: spoilers.

After 10 long months, "Game of Thrones" is finally back for its fifth season, and it was a whirlwind catch-up session with many of the main characters. We learned that Cersei has always been evil, that Sansa is finally not taking shit from anyone, that Lady Margaery has the best smug delivery of any social climber anywhere, and that Daenerys better start reading some dragon discipline books.

But what did they wear while all this was going down? While the characters generally stuck to their usual aesthetic, there was definitely some tweaking going on this season, as well as a conspicuous dearth of color. Let's take a look.

Cersei Established Her Look Early

This creepy Cersei flashback really gave us some insight into her personality, as well as her taste in clothes. Her favorite color palette and dress shape has not changed at all since her teens, which begs the question: Are there no fashion magazines in Westeros? Either she is the most routinized person ever or trends don't exist. (I think I would like living in that world, actually.)

Tyrion Becomes a Hipster

Tyrion is disillusioned, drinking a lot, and sporting a vest and facial hair: Hipster or merely the crate-dwelling, discouraged son of a despot father ? Either way, his palace finery is gone, and his hair has gained an admirable amount of beachy texture. Then there's Varys, who always looks prosperous. His accessory game is also strong this season so far. That belt would not look out of place slung nonchalantly around a pair of jorts at Coachella, and don't even get me started about the curled toe shoes.

Daenerys Goes Monochrome

For a while there, blue was Daenerys' color of choice, but she seems to be favoring a dirty cream palette this season so far. Also, that Mereen neckline is just so flattering -- I want a bathing suit that looks exactly like Dany's dress.

Then Creamy

What is this magical garment? From the keyhole neckline to the built-in cape, it's very 2015 awards show-ready.

Sansa's Ready to Kick Ass and Take Names

This is quite a change for innocent little Sansa, eh? All black, dominatrix gloves, and a brooding, serious new brunette dye job. Sansa is clearly done being everyone's pawn, and I'm frankly excited to see her get the power treatment that a lot of the other women enjoy from the show's writers.

Cersei Wears Black, Too

Cersei dons black -- which is honestly not much of a stretch from her usual somber jewel tones -- for Dad's funeral, including her signature necklace. While her hair is still as controlled and styled as it always is, I love how the loose ends hint that she might be unravelling.

Castle Black, Aptly Named

Leather bars have nothing on the gents over at Castle Black. From Jon Snow's leather waistcoat to Samwell's full-on quilted tunic, I would happily wear all of it. Too bad the Night's Watch doesn't accept women.

Margaery Still Likes Bare Arms

Margaery is a walking advertisement for sunscreen -- so pale! She's still wearing the slightly risqué clothes of her homeland, and hasn't really adopted the heavier clothes the Lannister ladies seem to favor. Will there be another wedding dress in her future?
