While many of her Los Angeles-based peers were frolicking around the desert wearing some variation on the festival uniform at Coachella this weekend, actress Dianne Agron had a more highbrow red carpet event to attend across the pond. The former "Glee" star, who is preparing for her debut in a West End play based on the late Alexander McQueen, stepped out in a vintage ivory gown by the designer at the Olivier Awards on Sunday night in London. To give the simple dress a modern edge, Agron accessorized with rings and earrings in a mix of metals and sizes, and added a touch of darkness with black nail polish.
The event, which annually celebrates and recognizes the best of British theater, was a fitting venue for Agron to hobnob with the UK theater crowd — especially in such a design by McQueen, accented at the high neck and around the waist with pearls. The 28-year-old just announced that she'd been cast in "McQueen" in late March, and the play — written by James Phillips and directed by John Caird — will run at the St. James Theater from May 12 to June 27. Here's hoping for many more dreamy McQueen moments for Agron between now and the end of the run.
