Cara Delevingne and Pharrell Williams Reunite for Chanel’s Métiers D’art Campaign

Cara Delevingne and Pharrell Williams Reunite for Chanel’s Métiers D’art Campaign:

One could have only assumed, given the overwhelming amount fanfare surrounding Karl Lagerfeld’s Chanel Métiers D’art Paris-Salzburg collection, that the accompanying ad campaign would be something equally as noteworthy.  After closing both the Austria and New York shows, it was almost guaranteed that Cara Delevingne would resume her rightful place in front of the Kaiser’s lens once again.  What we didn’t realize at the time however, was just how major her fellow co-star would be.

Teaming up for the third time under Chanel’s fantasy umbrella, Pharrell Williams joins the British supermodel for her third campaign with the brand — she’s previously appeared in ads for its F/W ’14 and Resort ’13 collections. Channeling the “Sound of Music” once again, Cara poses in a mix of cozy knits, tweed jackets and knee-high, bow-embellished shoes, while Pharell’s stands out in a pair of lace-up green boots worn over a classic pair of corduroys.  As for the campaign’s third  and arguably most adorable star, Hudson Kroenig, the pint-size model sports a pair of traditional lederhosen and one swoon-worthy Fair Isle sweater.

As you might recall, Cara and Pharrell previously teamed-up late last year for a short film called Reincarnation, released just before the Métiers D’art Paris-Salzburg show. The film is based on an anecdote about Coco Chanel meeting a young elevator operator at an opulent hotel in Salzburg and being inspired to create the famous Chanel jacket design. Pharrell played an elevator conductor to Cara’s beer maid in the seven minute video, which found the two escaping into an alternate reality.  But the duo looks thoroughly modern in the official ads.  See for yourself after the jump.
