Hey East Coasters, Fashionista’s "How to Make It in Fashion" conference is heading back to New York City on Oct. 23.

We'll be setting up shop at Highline Stages in Chelsea, where top stylists, costumers and execs will be on hand to share their stories of how they made it in the industry. Along with a full day of career-focused panels and keynote speakers, we'll also be bringing back our popular mentoring sessions, where you'll get the chance to have a one-on-one conversation with someone who has succeeded in your chosen field. As always, our goal is that you leave the conference with useful advice that'll help you land that internship, job or promotion — and to make some good connections. (We guarantee you won't be disappointed with the swag bag, either.) Click here to see the full schedule and reserve your ticket before they sell out! (Because they always do.) We can't wait to see you there!

We've got to say, this year's speaker line up is better than ever:

KEYNOTE SPEAKERS:

Bobbi Brown

Bobbi Brown is the founder and CCO of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics in addition to a New York Times best-selling author. Bobbi first arrived on the beauty scene in 1991 with the launch of Bobbi Brown Essentials, and changed the face of makeup with 10 brown-based lipstick shades created to fill a void in the market of simple, flattering and wearable makeup. Furthering her message of confidence, Bobbi is a participant in Michelle Obama's White House Leadership & Mentoring Program for young women. Bobbi's philosophy is simple: "Women want to look and feel like themselves, only prettier and more confident. The secret to beauty is simple – be who you are."

Marissa Webb

Born in Korea and raised in the United States, Marissa Webb has always had an intimate and creative relationship with fashion. Her design aesthetic blends and juxtaposes elements of architecture and nature by mixing highly structured, tailored pieces with whimsical softness and flow. Marissa studied at FIT and flourished at J.Crew, where she remained for over a decade serving in various design roles including Head of Womenswear and Accessories Design. The launch of her eponymous label at the Spring 2013 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week gave voice to her personality and exemplified her individual style. Marissa has continued to employ a playful feminine elegance with a cool masculine edge in her subsequent collections. Each collection is created to appeal to the woman who appreciates timeless fashion but maintains the confidence to incorporate contrasting and unexpected pieces. In April 2014, Marissa was appointed Creative Director and Executive Vice President of Design at Banana Republic. Consequently, Gap Inc. joined Bedrock Manufacturing as a minority investor in Marissa Webb. As she welcomes her new position at BR, Marissa continues to simultaneously embrace her growing eponymous label.
