Perhaps it's Elle Fanning's elfin appearance and cool teen charm that make her the perfect candidate to pull off the most fantastical of runway pieces, whether it's a Prada frock or a Rodarte jumpsuit. The latest case in point: her Gucci gown in ivory and floral-printed cotton with lace detail and a bodice embroidered with birds. The lucky 17-year-old paired her spring 2016 look with the brand's "Sylvia" high heel sandals in a soft pink shade for the Los Angeles premiere of "Trumbo," a film she stars in alongside Bryan Cranston, Helen Mirren and John Goodman.

An outfit like this would likely come off dowdy and odd for someone older. (Except, maybe, for co-star Mirren, who recently wore flowers, beads and sheer sleeves like a damn queen.) But Fanning wears this ensemble with ease — because she can. She also added a few playful-but-stylish accents like flowers in her hair, and gold and cameo rings on her fingers. Somehow, it came off as adorable instead of overkill. Perhaps Gucci Creative Director Alessandro Michele has found the brand's new perfect celebrity ambassador.
