Come January, Paris Couture Week will officially expand beyond the Chanels and the Christian Diors of the world to include three not-so-new newcomers: Iris Van Herpen, Guo Pei and Aouadi. The Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture announced in a release on Thursday that it had elected the three labels as "guest members" for the spring 2016 season.

Since launching her own label in 2007, Van Herpen first became a mainstay on Paris's couture calendar in January 2011 before starting to show during Paris's ready-to-wear fashion weeks instead, beginning with the spring 2014 season. After the Dutch designer's upcoming fall 2016 show, she will no longer show during Paris Fashion Week in order to focus on her couture collection.

You might recognize Guo Pei as the mastermind behind Rihanna's exquisite, canary yellow Met Gala dress, a 55-pound garment that took more than two years to complete. The 48-year-old Chinese couturier opened her own atelier in Paris, called Guo Pei SAS, in early 2015, but has never before presented during the city's couture calendar. Balmain alumnus Yacine Aouadi presented his freshman Aouadi couture collection off-calendar in Paris last July, and has acquired a roster of notable celebrity clients, including Cate Blanchett, since.

Paris Couture Week's spring 2016 season is set to run from Jan. 24 to 29.
