Kate Middleton Pays Respect to Britain's War Dead in Alexander McQueen:

Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge (more familiarly known as Kate Middleton) watched on from the balcony of the foreign office as members of the Royal Family and King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands paid tribute to Britain's war dead during a Remembrance Day ceremony at Cenotaph memorial monument on Sunday. During the ceremony, Queen Elizabeth, the Duke of Cambridge, Prince Harry, the Duke of York and King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands laid wreaths to honor the nation's fallen soldiers. The event was followed by a procession of 10,000 citizens, of whom 9,000 were veterans. For the solemn occasion, the Duchess wore a black bespoke Alexander McQueen coat with a trio of poppies — a symbol of sleep, peace and death — pinned to her lapel, along with a matching hat and pearl drop earrings.

The night before, the Duchess attended the annual Festival of Remembrance held at the Royal Albert Hall alongside members of the Royal Family, including Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Cambridge. The Duchess wore a modest black lace Dolce & Gabbana dress, which is currently available on Net-a-Porter for $3,175.
