On Thursday, the Parisian actress attended the film's Beijing premiere — the last stop on her tour — in a custom Prada gown inspired by one of the most iconic American babes of all time, Marilyn Monroe. And we really have to give it to the Prada team — they did not take this homage lightly. The dress, much like what Monroe wore in 1955's "The Seven Year Itch," is all white crêpe de chine pleats with just the right amount of sex appeal, including a plunging neckline and a mid-thigh leg slit. While the garment itself isn't deeply exciting, its craftsmanship and significance are. One of the (presumably many) benefits of working with a design house as storied as Prada is that even the simplest of gowns can turn heads, if only due to the fall of the pleats or the structure of the bodice. We'll be sad to see this publicity circuit end, though if we have our way, Seydoux and Ms. Prada will be working together for a long, long time.
