18 Outstanding Fashion Choices for Summer

18 Outstanding Fashion Choices for Summer:

Hey my dear fashionistas! Summer is just around the corner and I’m very happy about that! Yesterday, I searched the Net and I found 18 Outstanding Fashion Choices for Summer that you are going to see in a short. All of the outfits are very stylish and I’m 100% sure that you will like them a lot.

Sundresses, skirts and shorts are summer essentials and they will keep you cool when the weather gets unbearable. You can embellish your outfit with marvelous accessories, like sandals, big colorful bag, bold necklace, bracelets or multiple rings. The hats are must-have accessory for the summer season, so you should consider updating your wardrobe with a stylish and sophisticated hat that will protect you from the sun. You can also wear hats when your hair is greasy and messy and you don’t have time to wash it.

I also recommend you to update your wardrobe with pieces in fresh and colors like coral, pink, blue, mint. These colors will make you look more sophisticated, noticeable and fashionable. White is a perfect color for the lazy summer days, when you don’t know what to wear and how to mix the colors. A white lace dress is always a good choice for the hot summer days. If you don’t know what to wear, then take a look at the gallery below. Enjoy and have fun! Don’t forget to stay up to date with the contents of Fashion Diva Design!

Moschino Resort Is a Cheeky Celebration of All Things Commercial

Moschino Resort Is a Cheeky Celebration of All Things Commercial:

When it comes to generating buzz and sales at Moschino, it's no secret that designer Jeremy Scott is, thus far, on fire. Aside from boosting the Italian brand's revenue 7 percent last year, making it parent company Aeffe's top-selling brand (Moschino made up 65 percent of its sales in 2014), Scott has been a huge proponent of the "buy now wear now" model, making items from his runway shows available in stores and online just hours after his collections walk. Plus, he has a crew of highly influential celebrity fans  — including Katy Perry, who was just revealed as the face of Moschino's fall campaign — which all add up to a winning formula that gave Aeffe the confidence to sign a major licensing deal with Scott's eponymous label, increasing its stake in Scott's talent.

Considering all that, it's quite fitting that Scott's latest collection for Moschino is a cheeky celebration of all things commercial. The opening look — modeled by Scott's pal, Victoria's Secret Angel Stella Maxwell — is a giant "SALE" hang tag, followed by similarly shopping-related pieces. There's a sweater emblazoned with the words "half off;" branded riffs on both MasterCard and American Express cards; handbags that mimic Moschino shopping bags; silk pieces printed with a shoe sale rack pattern; and a cheerleader-like skirt made from pleats that look like sales receipts. To make things even more meta, a number of the pieces feature black and white sketches of Scott's first junk culture-inspired Moschino show, allowing the wearer to be a walking advertisement for not one, but two collections from the house.

We always appreciate that Scott is in on the joke and willing to poke a bit of fun at the industry at large, but the irony isn't lost on us that he'll likely be laughing all the way to the bank as Moschino continues to expand: Imminent plans include launching menswear and opening a new store on Wooster Street in New York.

Stuart Vevers spoke with Business of Fashion about the brand's strategy in anticipation of Coach's first menswear show at London Collections: Men. To buy or not to buy? That is the question.

Chanel releases commercial for Chance Eau Vive

We never would have associated bowling with the storied French couture house until now. The new commercial for the Chance Eau Vive perfume features models Rianne Van Rompaey, Sigrid Agren, Cindy Bruna and Romy Schonberger bowling with (evidently unbreakable) bottles of the fragrance. Famed director Jean-Paul Goude shot the commercial. {YouTube}

THE STATE OF BEAUTY : Deborah Needleman Ushers in T's Next Phase With Several New Hires

Deborah Needleman's revamp of T: The New York Times Style Magazine, where she took the helm in 2012, is not over yet. In a memo sent to the staff on Friday, Needleman announced a new slate of hires and structural changes taking place in June that will push the magazine "out of start-up mode" and into a new phase, in addition to strengthening its digital presence.

Isabel Wilkinson, formerly senior editor at The Cut, will be the magazine's senior online editor overseeing online features and fashion coverage as well as working with Needleman and online managing editor Alainna Lexie Beddie on "honing the editorial focus of the website" and "facilitat[ing] more reciprocity between our print and digital enterprises," wrote Needleman in her memo. The site, Tmagazine.com, will relaunch in August, just in time for fashion month.

On the print side, novelist and former editor-at-large of Conde Nast Traveler Hanya Yanagihara has joined T as deputy editor. Yanagihara is replacing Whitney Vargas, who has been promoted to executive editor and will now have "day-to-day creative oversight of the magazine." Emily Stokes has also been promoted to articles editor from senior features editor. And finally, Hannah Goldfield has been hired as staff editor from The New Yorker.

Since Needleman took over T, she's made a lot of hires — many from her former home WSJ Magazine, such as men’s style director David Farber and photo director Nadia Vellam — and lost some key people to other publications — such as Kate Lanphear, who was the women's style director, and Jesse Ashlock, who was online director. One of her earliest additions in 2012 was legendary stylist Joe McKenna. As fashion director, McKenna has defined the signature T aesthetic and collaborated with photographers Juergen Teller, Inez and Vinoodh, Craig McDean, Mario Sorrenti and many more, including up and coming names Karim Sadli and Jamie Hawkesworth.

Prada's Profits Continue to Tumble

Prada's Profits Continue to Tumble:

As we learned back in March, Prada didn't have a great 2014. Net sales for last year dipped 1 percent, while profits were down 28 percent. Now, the first set of results for 2015 are in, and, at least profit-wise, things aren't looking much better.

For the three months ended April 30, the company's profits fell 44 percent due largely to "the continuing difficult market conditions in the Asia Pacific area, especially in Hong Kong and Macau," according to CEO Patrizio Bertelli. Chinese tourists still aren't showing up and shopping luxury brands the way they used to. It's a problem that isn't unique to Prada, as Kering recently reported that poor performance in the Asia-Pacific region contributed to Gucci's 8 percent sales decline in the first quarter. That said, Asia does comprise the largest geographic chunk of Prada's sales, so slipping up there does a lot of damage to its sales overall.

However, sales picked up a bit in Europe, Japan, the Americas and the Middle East, which saw growth of 11 percent, 6 percent, 16 percent and 13 percent, respectively. Thanks to those regions and the strengthening of other major currencies against the Euro, overall revenue for the Group was up 6.5 percent.

Brand-wise, Miu Miu outperformed most of the Group's other labels. Revenue for Prada's younger sister grew 19 percent, while Prada only grew 5 percent. Church’s and Car Shoe recorded sales growth of 16% and 20%, respectively.

Bertelli says the company is focused on making its operations more efficient (which should help with profit margins), revising its organizational structure and producing innovative products. Hopefully that means 2015 will be better than 2014 was.

Lilly Pulitzer Hosts a Resort Preview for the First Time

A look from Lilly Pulitzer's resort presentation on Thursday.
Lilly Pulitzer is back.

Two years after its founder passed away, the King of Prussia, Penn.-based label is riding high on the momentum from its spring collaboration with Target, which garnered an outsized amount of media attention (not all of it positive) and sold out almost immediately. On Thursday evening, Pulitzer employees clinked glasses with press and well-wishers at The New Museum in downtown New York, where the label's resort 2016 collection — consisting of updates on its signature dresses, shorts and tunics in botanical pinks, greens and nautical white lace — was on display. It was the first time the company had hosted such a presentation in New York.

"We really decided to do this almost a year ago," said Jane Schoenborn, the blonde and cheerful vice president of creative communications at Lilly Pulitzer. "We have been focused on the positioning of resort for awhile, for years and years... [So we decided] we're only going to show one thing, and do it in resort, every year."

Schoenborn said the response to the Target collaboration well exceeded the company's expectations, opening the door to new categories and size ranges — though, because everything sold so quickly, the company didn't get a clear sense of what might be the best new categories to explore. "Sometimes when people do collaborations people are looking to see what sold, but everything sold immediately," she observed.

Regardless, Lilly Pulitzer is back on shoppers' radars. And for a certain kind of shopper — the kind who buys her handbags from Kate Spade, and her basics from J.Crew — the label's optimistic prints and simple silhouettes have a discernible appeal.

How to Plump Your Pout With Makeup

How to Plump Your Pout With Makeup:

The Kardashians have broken the Internet at least four times this year, and when it comes to beauty, it feels like the first half of 2015 has been all about Kylie Jenner’s massively luscious lips. Obsession over how to get her insane mouth drove teenage girls seriously crazy, and tabloid speculation over whether or not she resorted to plastic surgery swirled around for months before being confirmed on an episode of "Keeping Up With Kardashians."

I love experimenting with makeup, but up until recently I only admired lipstick from afar. It seemed like a mature and sophisticated product reserved for glamorous Hollywood starlets and my fabulous mother, not to mention I wasn't great at applying it and had an intense fear of looking like a clown. However, studying abroad in Paris this past fall exposed me to a whole world of possibilities, including ways to experiment with my beauty routine. I was inspired to try all kinds of new beauty trends, including the sultry “Purple Shadow” lipstick from MAC. I loved the way, when I kept all other parts of my face relatively neutral, my lips completely popped against my wintery skin.

Now that it's summer, I went on an Internet hunt for ways to make my lips pop even more. Popular YouTube beauty vlogger Desi Perkins created this awesome tutorial on how to get a plumper pout by lining your lips a few centimeters above your actual lip line. Perkins is informative, relatable and entertaining all at the same time. Giving specific tips on how to find your lips' natural cupids bow and layer multiple liners on top of one another (a tip she got from Marilyn Monroe’s makeup artist), she takes her time, and shows each in-between stage of what her lips look like throughout.

I poured over a lot of Kylie Jenner how-to's that involved vacuum-induced beauty experiments, and breathed a sigh of relief when I watched Perkins’s. Finally, a lipliner trick anyone can safely do.
