TIPS : Here's How NOT To Write A Love Letter
A love letter is one of the most personal messages you'll ever write, and writing one is a lot easier than you might think.
Your first step is to give up your fear. You are the undisputed authority on what you want to say in this message--don't let yourself be shut down by preconceived notions of what a love letter should be. A love letter doesn't have to be poetry, it doesn't have to be about hearts and flowers, and it doesn't have to be sappy. Be yourself, and write about real things that matter to you.
So far so good, yes? But what exactly do you say? Here are some suggestions: the moment you first realized you loved her, how your life has changed since you first got together, how you have changed as a result of loving him, some physical characteristic of his that you love, something about her that makes you grateful, or something she said that you will never forget. Nothing is too small to write about, if it means something to you. Try writing about a shared memory that's special to you both; it doesn't have to have been a romantic occasion or a life-changing event to mean the world to the two of you. If you share something simple and sincere, your letter can be something that your love will treasure forever.

These dos and don'ts can help:

Do...
  • Take your time. Writing a love letter is too nice a job to rush.
  • Share your real feelings. This is no time to be shy.
  • Write in your own everyday voice--your reader wants to hear your voice, not an imitation of someone else's.
  • Give some thought to how your reader might react. How well do you know him or her? Are you declaring your love for the first time, or are you both so in love you're walking on air? Don't spoil the spontaneity, but make sure what you write seems appropriate to the level of your relationship.
  • Remember to say "I love you"!

Don't...
  • Don't worry that you're "not a good writer." You're as good as you need to be!
  • Don't say anything you don't mean. It's easy to go over the top when you're writing a love letter. Be sure you're being honest to yourself.
  • Don't be afraid to say silly things. If you love the way she slams the car door or the way he chops vegetables, say so.
  • Don't be creepy. If you're writing to someone who doesn't have any idea how you feel, don't go overboard describing your feelings and your desires.
  • Don't put it in an e-mail. This is love we're talking about, for heaven's sake. Invest in a nice card or writing paper, and write it out by hand. A love letter is a kind of gift--make it a tangible object they can slip under their pillow, save in their wallet, or otherwise treasure forever.
  • Don't chicken out! Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
A personalized handwritten love letter means so much more than a pre-printed card. With a little courage and a little effort, you can make your love the happiest person in the world!

Riley Montana Might Be Fashion's Next Black Supermodel, And For Good Reason

Riley Montana Might Be Fashion's Next Black Supermodel, And For Good Reason: When we spotted Riley Montana alongside Erykah Badu in Givenchy's Spring/Summer 2014 campaign, we thought: where did this brown beauty come from? The fashion industry is infamous for it's lack of diversity, so we were stunned when the ad debuted.

It turns out that Riley herself was just as shocked when Riccardo Tisci, Givenchy's creative director, offered her the gig. The Detroit native had only been in New York City for two weeks when she got the news.

"I literally cried. I fell on the floor," Riley told WWD. “Riccardo took a chance on me. I was brand new. He supports diversity and I love that about him. He doesn’t care about what people think.”

Riley didn't think a career in modeling was an option. "I was insecure. I was a dark-skinned girl and extra skinny," she said. But she was clearly wrong. Since landing the Givenchy campaign Riley, who holds an associates degree in nursing, has walked in fashion shows for Oscar de la Renta, DKNY, Balmain and Rodarte, to name a few. And she's got her sights set even higher for the future.

"I really want an American Vogue cover. Because we [African-American girls] really don’t get it that much. I want it so bad," Riley said.

Fortunately, she's already scored some face time with Anna Wintour, so perhaps the seed has been planted. Fingers crossed!

Head over to WWD to read Riley's full interview.

Pamela Anderson Finally Starts To Remove Barbed Wire Tattoo

Pamela Anderson Finally Starts To Remove Barbed Wire Tattoo: Pamela Anderson has finally come to her senses and is in the process of removing the barbed wire tattoo that wraps around her left bicep.

The 46-year-old actress got the armband inked back in 1995 specifically for the movie "Barbed Wire," telling the Los Angeles Times at the time, "The makeup people were going to paint this on my arm every day, but I had a tattoo artist just sketch it on me and I wore it around for a half a day to see how it looked. I decided I'd just go ahead and get it done. I love it. I think it's very feminine, for barbed wire."

Nineteen years later, it seems that Anderson has finally tired of the tattoo. The former "Baywatch" star was spotted at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas on April 12, and lo and behold, the tattoo is barely visible these days.

It's not the first time Anderson has regretted her ink. After she divorced Tommy Lee in 1998, the actress changed the tattoo on her ring finger to read "Mommy," instead of "Tommy."

Kate Upton has such an amazing body that people keep putting it on icebergs and sending it to space. Doesn’t matter where you put it: She looks amazing in a bikini parka or while weightless or, I assume, in a volcano, which is probably next. But Kate Upton herself is tired of her bosoms. Probably because she has to follow them onto icebergs and into space.

“I wish I had smaller boobs every day of my life as I love to wear spaghetti tops braless or go for the smallest bikini designs,” Upton told the UK Sun (via Page Six).

“Every single day, I’m like, ‘Oh, man, it would be so much easier,’ especially if people didn’t constantly bring them up.”

Not that Upton hates her 34Ds all the time. She just wishes they were optional. “If I could just take them off like they were clip-ons,” she says.

I truly love the idea of Kate Upton, many a man’s fantasy, with a nightmare closet of disembodied clip-on breasts in various shapes and sizes. I love the idea of any woman with one of those, honestly.

TIPS : Let's All Rethink Our Bra Choices This Spring

Let's All Rethink Our Bra Choices This Spring: After a long, gray winter, you couldn’t be more ready for spring. But is your wardrobe prepared? Sure, it’s great to get a jump on the latest trends, but have you thought about what to rock under your fresh seasonal duds? Take the change in season as an opportunity to rejuvenate your underthings, keeping in mind your unique shape, style and activities.

The right bra is everything, so let’s take a look at five key factors that affect your best bra choices.

FACTOR #1: FIT

While this isn’t exactly new news (we’ve long stressed the importance of the right bra fit), spring presents a renewed chance to finally find your perfect (bra) match.

Larger busts: The large-busted ladies among us often struggle to find a bra that supports and flatters. The wrong undergarments can lead to unsightly and uncomfortable results: straps cutting into shoulders, or even worse, cups cutting into the top of breast tissue, leading to odd-looking spillage. The solution? A bra that features full cups to provide extra coverage, strapping in your bust in for an overall smoother shape. Bottom line: No more quad-boob.

Try: The Perfect Coverage Bra

Smaller busts: Meanwhile, ladies with more modest busts often bemoan their lack of natural cleavage during tank-top season. But the truth is that smaller breasts are perhaps the easiest to manage -- they simply don't require as much support as their larger counterparts. That said, finding the right fit is still important for smaller-breasted women, as a lack of proper support can ultimately lead to unnecessary sagging.

Try: The Wireless Bra

FACTOR #2: SHAPE

We’ll admit it: we’ve been rocking bulky sweaters for an awfully long time. So long, in fact, that we’ve totally forgotten how much shaping our breasts really matters – that is, until sheer white T-shirt season swings back around.

sheer white shirt

Don’t worry. All is not lost. Women with shapely concerns can seek assistance from bras that have both push-up AND full-coverage functionality for an added lift plus a sculpted shape.

FACTOR #3: SUPPORT

While renewed attention to your bra fit and shape are paramount, we can’t forget about lift and support! After all, warmer weather means bare legs, open-toed shoes, and of course, plunging necklines.

friends laughing summer

Push-up bras aren’t just for teenagers; all kinds of busts can benefit from the extra lift they provide, and padded versions can help push breasts up and together, creating the effect of a round, perky and slightly larger bust.

push up

Try: The Push Up Bra

FACTOR #4: ACTIVITY

That tattered old sports bra you’ve been rocking on the elliptical all winter isn’t going to cut it for higher-impact outdoor activities like jogging.

jogging woman

Go ahead and embrace a new fitness routine, but make sure you have the right bra to go the distance. A supportive, stylish sports bra can make all the difference, especially for larger-breasted women.

Try: The Stand Out Sports Bra

FACTOR #5: FASHION

Finally: your bra should not only support your bust, but your daring fashion choices as well. Even if full-on strapless isn’t your thing, a dynamic multi-way bra can be a great option to accommodate the full spectrum of sexy, strappy spring styles.

shoulders

Bottom line: No matter what your cup size, there’s a option to allow you to flaunt your gorgeous bare shoulders.

PHOTOS : Kate Middleton Has Not One But Two Style Wins In New Zealand

Kate Middleton Has Not One But Two Style Wins In New Zealand: We didn't think the royal tour coverage could get any better than Prince George's playdate, but boy we were wrong.

Our favorite couple's trip through New Zealand and Australia rolled on Wednesday, and with it came yet another day of amazing style from Kate Middleton. But just when we thought her light blue Alexander McQueen coat was the only style win of the day -- she manages to knock it out of the park AGAIN that same evening.

The duke and duchess headed to the south island of New Zealand to attend a memorial service in honor of the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of WWI. For the occasion, Kate paired her perfectly fitted coat with navy pumps and those famous earrings. But what we love most of all is that fierce ponytail, a welcome surprise look we're not used to seeing on her.

Then, later on that evening at a state reception, she ditched the updo to show off those long locks in a bejeweled Jenny Packham dress (of course), sipped what looks like either white wine or champagne, and toasted the unveiling of a painting of Queen Elizabeth II.

Now, we're not exactly saying Kate is cutting loose on this trip, but a ponytail and a cocktail in one day? We certainly approve.

Check out both of her great looks below and let us know which is your favorite!

NEWS : The 14 Emotional Stages Of Shopping A Blowout Sale

The 14 Emotional Stages Of Shopping A Blowout Sale: Whether you're out on a planned trip or happen to find yourself walking by a favorite store by chance, sometimes we all fall victim to shopping a great sale. That enticing, glorious "additional 50 percent off sign" in the window fills us with hope and fantasies of an updated wardrobe.

But it's not always all fun and games. As anyone who has ever attempted to take on a huge sale can tell you, it can be quite an emotional roller coaster. In fact, there are precisely 14 stages we experience on a shopping trip. Keep your hands and legs safely inside the shopping cart because this is going to be a bumpy ride.

1. Initial Attraction

image GIF

You see the store. The store sees you. Your heart skips a beat at words like "final markdowns" or "additional percent off."

2. Hesitation

funny animated GIF

You know you don't really need anything, and you probably don't have room for anything new in your closet anyway, right?

3. Temptation

thinking animated GIF

"I wonder if that dress I saw online last week is on sale? It wouldn't hurt to look ..."

4. Joy

GIF

You're in! And there are racks on racks on racks of discounted clothing! Where to start? What to look at first? Maybe rethinking your outfit -- something stretchy would have been way more effective for this activity.

5. Thoughtfulness

image

You get started on making your way through the goods. Nothing is TOO interesting, and your arm is starting to hurt. You're starting to wonder if you should just leave when ...

6. Shock

The dress you saw online IS on sale! You know you have no choice but to try it on. But if you're already going to get in a dressing room and take your clothes off, you might as well pick up a few other things, too.

7. Overheating

At this point, you have piled things so high on your arms you're starting to sweat. It's time to find a dressing room -- pronto.

8. Discouragement

You find yourself at the end of a treacherous line. And you're still sweating. You're about to leave the clothes right there on the table next to you, but something -- either the crippling desire of wanting to see how that dress looks on you or the guilt of knowing a sales associate is going to have to clean up that mess -- keeps you waiting.

9. Excitement

You finally get to the front of the line to realize you can only bring in seven things. But you have 10 things! You hesitate to leave the rest out there on the rack for all the other sale-crazed vultures to pick at. But you have no choice, and the salesperson has a kind face. So you do it.

10. Horror

Afraid Tv animated GIF

You get into the dressing room and start to take your clothes off when it hits you -- you have to pee. HOW ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO TRY THINGS ON WHEN YOU HAVE TO PEE?

11. Stamina

You start going through the pile as quickly as possible. Hangers fly, shirts are inside out. You mean business. And you still have to pee.

12. Thoughtfulness (2)

You stare at all the things that you've tried on. You calculate how much everything would cost and then stop to think -- do you really need another black shirt? No, you do not.

13. Accomplishment

You leave the room with your selections in hand and make your way to the register and/ or bathroom, whichever comes first.

14. Defeat*

sad animated GIF

You get to the cashier and realize the line to pay is even longer than the line was to try the clothes on. This time, all regard for others has escaped you and you drop everything on the floor, making a beeline for the door. You can buy this stuff online when you get home anyway.

*Admittedly Step 14 varies on just how badly you want whatever it is you end up finding. But if you make it through all of that, you need to go buy yourself an ice cream. You deserve it.
