From the cool and the sporty to the sleek and sophisticated, colorful, monochrome, dipped in prints or in sparkling sequins, gathering inspiration from the past or carrying a rather futuristic flavour, these are spring’s most coveted pieces, as gorgeously photographed by An Le for Harper’s Bazaar Latin America.

One comes used to recognizing them with every season that goes by, as they are bound to stand out on and off the runway. For spring 2014 they come defined by metallic heels and perspex accents, delicate shapes contrasting chunkier silhouettes, baroque details and a good taste of the 90s.

Film leaves it’s imprint across fashion just as fashion makes its mark on film. And since the costuming was arguably one of the best things about last year’s American Hustle, how could it not get just a few people obsessing about the plunging necklines and oversized sunglasses that were such a hallmark of the 1970s?

Daniela Rettore‘s Back to Seventies takes the authenticity of American Hustle’s costuming and drops it into the wearability of the modern day. Luigi Gaballo’s impeccable styling mixes all elements of the era, from cuts to colours to luxurious textures, all the while still weathered with contemporary sophistication. The same can be said for Pawel Solis’ update on the flicked-out retro mane, and Giovanni Iovine’s soft blue eyeshadow and thick bottom lashes.
