In what could be the greatest infusion of Girl Power to hit the music scene since Beyonce ordered wayward fellas to “Put a Ring On It Already!” — pop divas Pink, Lady Gaga, and Mariah Carey have joined forces for a collaboration…against fur!
The gals have signed on to appear together in an anti-animal cruelty ad campaign from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). Similar to the non-profit’s famed “I’d Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur” spots, the “Fur-Free & Fabulous Campaign” will use some of entertainment’s most famous faces to the crusade against the ever-thriving fur trade.
Last year’s “Fur-Free & Fabulous Campaign” featured First Lady Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey. PETA bosses selected Pink, Gaga, and Mariah for this year’s spot because of their devoted fur-free stances…even if the “Poker Face” singer isn’t quite as compassionate about wearing slaughtered cows as evening couture.
The billboard will go up on the corner of Sunset Boulevard and La Brea Avenue in Los Angeles on Tuesday afternoon.
