With her sweet-as-pie smile and penchant for bright, feminine frocks, "sexy" is probably not the first word you would use to describe Emma Roberts. But it is certainly how you'd describe the "Palo Alto" actress' look at the premiere of "American Horror Story: Freak Show" in Hollywood, California, on Sunday, thanks to a dramatic black gown — with a thigh-high slit and center cut-out —from Saint Laurent.

She wore her hair up and slightly mussed with bangs that swept just above her brow — an inch or two lower, and you might have mistaken her for a Saint Laurent runway model. The smokey eye was definitely on brand, though.
