Gigi Hadid has come a long way. The up-and-coming model announced early Wednesday morning -- via a video on Instagram, of course -- that she has signed on as the new face of Maybelline New York.
Hadid joins the beauty brand's fleet of high-profile ambassadors, including Jourdan Dunn, Erin Wasson, Emily Didonato, Christy Turlington, Charlotte Free and Freja Beha Erichsen.
Hadid exploded onto the modeling scene in 2014, posing for Tom Ford as the face of his fragrance, making her runway debut during the spring 2015 shows at the likes of Chanel and Marc Jacobs, joining the Pirelli calendar and shooting for Victoria's Secret Pink. Oh yeah, and she also starred in Guess's very sexy spring campaign. Phew, that's a lot.
But this beauty contract is a next-level breakthrough for the 19-year-old model. And it should make her feel better after getting turned down from the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, don't you think?
