Here’s Your Chance to Dress Like a Model at the Met Gala – For Less!

Here’s Your Chance to Dress Like a Model at the Met Gala – For Less!:

We’re going to go out on a limb and say that the designer labels that made their way down the Met Gala red carpet on Monday are not the same ones currently hanging inside your closet. And yet, part of the fun of a star-studded fashion event such as the the Met Gala, is seeing how those with deep pockets and even more impressive connections pull their resources together in the name of playing dress up.  If there’s one thing we’ve learned though in recent years, it’s that one doesn’t always need a budget of epic proportions to get red carpet-ready — or to land on the “Best-Dressed” list for that matter.  Take note from models Emily Ratajkowski, Hailey Baldwin, Bella Hadid and Joséphine de La Baume, who all stepped out in dresses priced at under $500 for their first Met Gala appearance.

Dressed in various custom-made looks by British retailer Topshop, the model pack held their own among the sea of Chanel, Versace an Calvin Klein gowns, thus making a case for a budget-friendly, high-street purchase. For her part, Emily wore a high-collar cream dress decorated with long-stemmed flora revealing a sliver of skin via a looped collar, while Josephine looked stunning in a cross-hatched vermillion red gown. As for the celeb-models, Bella looked sleek in a thigh-skimming number bedazzled with petals, while Hailey went for a monochromatic piece with a delicate floral-print embellishment.

Dying to get your hands on one these show-stoppers? Lucky for you, Topshop is now offering all four of its model-approved red carpet looks via its e-commerce site, and all for under a cool $400.  Consider this your one-stop shop for affordable black-tie wear.
